A Merciful Truth (Mercy Kilpatrick Book 2)

This was another great page Turner of a novel! Well written and thought provoking. How are attitudes changed by the company we keep? Do we stand by what we believe or are we easily lead?Are we open to changing our views, a single mother because of rape , do we honour her for keeping the baby , or turn our noses up at her for the baby she is carrying ? The use of guns, should this continue to be a right in a society that is no longer hunter gatherer?Are we leaders or followers, and do we know when to quit following & become a leader?These are all questions I found , amongst many others in this novel. Many of the character continues to be developed from previous book and we see growth , humour and irrational behaviours, dependent on the character & situation in which they are found. The characters are fast becoming friends and I'm looking forward to the next novel to see what happens next.This is on the surface a pacey, mystery crime adventure story , cops solving a murder , but I love how you can read it on different levels. Well done ,I M ready for the next one.Thanks to Voracious readers who introduced me to this author ,I M hooked now!

Wow what a great story. This book was full of drama, suspense and intrigue. I never saw the ending coming it was ingenious. I can’t wait to see what happens next

After arson escalates to murder Mercy and her FBI colleagues are called in to find the killer. Whilst she tries to find the guilty party she also struggles to balance her family and work. Can she trust her feelings for Truman and his for her? Can she reconcile with all her family and have the Thanksgiving that she deserves? Truman has his own demons to battle after being caught up in another fire. Can they their unspoken love for each other survive the threats facing them? Will love make them stronger or will it break them apart? So many questions are answered in this book and I can't wait to see what Kendra will throw at them next. I very much enjoyed listening to this book Teri's narration only enhances the story if that were possible. My only complaint. I listened wish I could give more than 5*

Following on the journey of Mercy Kilpatrick after book 1 when she decided to move back to where she had left 15 years previously.. now taking over the care of her niece after her brother died and starting a new relationship with Truman who is local Police Chief.Yet another case needs investigating by Police and FBI.. although its not as simple as it starts off looking!Twists turns and a devastating truth makes this story so good i didnt want it to end!Really looking forward to continuing to read where this journey takes the characters on especially Mercys sister Rose in her pregnancy and Mercy being acceptes by her family again.Fab writing and good believable story.

It's not great writing But reading about the American pepper community fascinates me, ha ha!!

I very much enjoy Kendra Elliott books. The are all edge of the seat stories and always have a Romantic Twist. I have read a few and this is the2nd Mercy Kilpatrick story I have read. If you like an enjoyable pacy romantic thriller this might be the book for you. RECOMMENDED.

Love love loved this book. I'm gripped every moment and can't stop thinking about it when I'm doing other things. So so happy there are more books in this series

Another great read really getting to know the characters and truly enjoyable plot keeps you guessing right till the end with some unforeseen twists
