My copy of Joy's first cookbook Joy the Baker is dog eared from use so I knew I'd have to have a copy of her newest. I made the Chocolate Peanut Butter Pretzel Layer cake from the cover as requested by my daughter for her birthday and it was a huge hit. It looks a bit intimidating at first glance, but Joy guides you though with amazing results. The Basic Three Layer Chocolate Cake and the Salted Peanut Butter Buttercream Frosting are the prefect vehicles for the Pretzel Cake. I also made the Graham Cracker Crust to encase the Peanut Butter Pie and my husband was in love with both. The overnight yeasted pancakes and ultimate pancake syrup are to die for. And the Chocolate Pound Cake with Chips and Chocolate Glaze, OH MY! I've just began my delicious journey with this amazing book amd I know if I'm in the mood for a little something sweet this will fulfil that desire. Of course there are other delicious sounding recipes amongst the sweetness and the Roasted Potato Breakfast Nachos are on my to try list soon. Tomorrow morning is the Cinnamon Pull Apart Bread.

Tipiche ricette americane, alcune molto fantasiose, le dosi sono in cups ed alcuni ingredienti sono introvabili qui, ma cercherò di adattare le ricette.Il libro è arrivato rovinato da un profondo graffio sul dorso (probabilmente fatto con un taglierino) ma avendolo pagato la metà di quando l'avevo messo in wishlist mesi fa ed essendo per me, non l'ho restituito.

I love this cookbook
I love this cookbook! I'm a home baker, not a professional. I just enjoy baking so I have a lot of cookbooks that I try new recipes every day. I bought this book, heard if from sallysbakingaddiction blog and since I love Sally and her recipes, I thought this book would be good. And it is! I tried couple of recipes and they all turned out to be delicious. I baked Mango- Rose Cheesecake, Butterscotch Pie and Lavender Palmiers from this book and they were all yummy. Every step is explained with details, and there are great pictures of every recipe. Most of the cookbooks don't have photos for each recipe and that kind of bugs me. I'd like to see what it's going to be in the end because I'm not a pro. I would recommend this book for anyone, for home bakers like me as well as professionals because the recipes are really creative and delicious. anyone could learn something from this book
