One Last Time

Funny, witty, relatable and uplifting. Cheeky but also layered with emotional depth which becomes apparent as the characters are introduced and their backstories revealed. Tackles a difficult topic of an emotionally abusive ex-partner but is all about the female character, Kristen, moving forward, conquering her inner demons, finding her inner strength and stumbling across the love of her life, Noah. Although cringey at times it is impossible not to warm to the two main characters and relate to their struggles. A very good read and one which I would highly recommend.

This book had it all. The chemistry between Noah and Kristin was insane. I felt it all the love, the hurt, the anger, and the perseverance. I love how Kristin found her back bone and once she did she was a force! 👏🏼 I also really loved how sweet Noah was and that he wasn’t an overly alpha male character. It was a nice change that a male character didn’t need to control everything. The characters were very well developed and Corinne Michaels did a fabulous job with this installment to the series.

I love the way Corinne layers her characters and you oftentimes see characters from previous books in her current book. She said in an interview that this wasn't a tearjerker- she lied!! I cried, I also laughed but I also had a gamut of emotions. The thing about this author is that she knows how to tell a story and with Kristin and Noah - it was all about chemistry! They had some awesome chemistry together. I usually ding authors automatically for angst because I think they use it too much nowadays, however, it's become kind of a CM special and you can't have a book of hers without it. This was right up there with We Own Tonight which was my personal favorite. If you read 2 books all year, let it be these two.

Another blockbuster from Corinne Michaels!!! After reading We Own Tonight, I couldn't wait to dive into One Last Time to hear Kristin"s story!! The first few chapters were heartbreaking but after that, I can honestly say, I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. When Kristin meets Noah, all bets are off!!! Her awkwardness around him is epic and so fun to witness! And Noah is just to lovable for his own good! Swoon worthy, and I thought Eli was the swooniest!!!! The 2 of them together was magic and loved watching it happen. Was so proud of Kristin when she started standing up to her ex-Scott!!!! He was a piece of work and worth leaving!! Highly recommend this book to everyone, you won't be disappointed!!! Really think that Nicole needs her story told - just saying.

Swoony second chance romance!..Corinne Michaels is one of my favorite authors. She writes the most beautiful stories. Forever pulling on my heartstrings. Always giving me an incredibly strong female character. And Kristin was no different. I was incomplete awe of her, for finding her way after leaving a dead end marriage. All while remaining an amazing mother. I was grinning like a fool that she met and fell in love with such a sweetheart like Noah. They were perfect for each other.
