OSTENT 1200mAh 3.6V Li-ion Polymer Lithium Ion Rechargeable Battery Pack Replacement for Sony PSP 2000/3000 PSP-S110 Console

Found my PSP when closet cleaning and my oldest daughter was interested in playing a "retro" game system that is as old as she is. The PSP was working fine plugged in but the OEM battery would not hold a charge. Removing the battery it was bulging and needed to be replaced. This battery fit perfect and holds a charge longer than the OEM from my memory. After 2 months with weekly use the battery is working fine and only required a couple of recharges (games played were all off of disc and not memory stick). We are happy to have the game back in operation.

Ok, so I just purchased this battery for my PSP 3001 (today is 11/13/2018). I ordered it on 11-11-2018, so needless to say, shipping was fast. The battery fits perfectly in the battery bay of the 3001, but it is a bit more snug due to the bit longer tab on the bottom of the battery. I have highlighted this tab in red in one of my pictures, but trust me, as shown by the pictures, it does fit and the battery cover does close perfectly with the battery in place. You may however need to use a small screwdriver or knife to gently pry out the battery. I am giving this battery a 5-star rating for now, due to the fact that shipping was fast, it fits my PSP as it should, and there was a charge on the battery when it arrived to power my PSP. The rating may change later if I find any negative points later on. I apologize for any blurry pics but I think they do the job of showing that the battery fits and the battery cover closes as it should. It also shows what it looks like in comparison to the original Sony PSP battery. (I have my PSP wrapped with a Star Wars skin). It did come with a little charge, so it was able to power my PSP 3001. Obviously, since I just got it today, I am not sure how long a full charge will last. Not promising anything, but maybe I will remember to report back on the battery life. Hope this review helps in removing any doubt about if this battery fits in a 3001 PSP.

I pulled my old PSP out of storage to reply some old games and the original battery was completely bloated and had to be replaced. This gets the unit up and running, but it seems to have less capacity than my original did. I remember playing for about 4-6 hours between charges in the past, but this gives me 3-4 and the battery drains down to 0 within a month on standby. Still grateful just to be able to play though; I play around the house so a few hours less isn't a problem as long as I don't let the battery drain on standby.

The product arrived with a charge, which was wonderful since I had just received a PSP the day before and wanted to make sure it worked. It was very easy to pop it in, and the quality appears to be great. The only part about this product I found weird is that despite what the listing says, this DOES work on PSP 1000's. I had ordered a PSP 3000 model and received the wrong one (PSP 1001) by mistake and only noticed after swapping the batteries. I'm certainly not complaining, I just thought it was funny and wanted to include it in case anyone ends up in a similar situation.

Worked great for 6 months with about 2-3 hours of play . Became unreliable and playtime shrank to maybe 30 min after less then a year.

La mejor batería para PSP que hay en el 2021. Dura unas 3-4 horas leyendo UMD's, tiempo que se extiende un poco más si se juega desde la Memory Stick. El único pero que le pongo es que queda muy justa en la PSP por lo que hay que tener cuidado al sacarla, pero nada que dañe la consola. Vamos, la batería no es original pero su desempeño es muy bueno, muy cercano al original.

Ich brauchte einen Akku für eine PSP 2000, da originale eher keine Option mehr sind, musste es eins sein, dass zumindest die gleiche Kapazität hat, wie das Original. Ich bin dann nach etlichen guten Berichten im Internet bei Ostent gelandet als so ziemlich die beste Alternative. Und hier bekommt man wirklich einen scheinbar echten. Ich habe den Akku an der PSP leer laufen lassen und dann mit einem Lithium-Ionenakku Ladegerät dann mit ca. 800 mA vollgeladen. Der IC hat eine entsprechende Ladekurve, nach 80% voll wird langsamer geladen etc. Und ja, tatsächlich standen auf dem Amperemeter am Ende nach Abzug der Ladeverluste rund 1153 mAh. Die PSP habe ich dann im Homescreen laufen lassen bei mittlerer Helligkeit und sie hat sagenhafte 10 Stunden durchgehalten. Natürlich ist im XMB nicht viel los, aber dennoch, das ist sehr beachtlich. Bei Games kommt die PSP wieder auf die damals bekannten Spielzeiten, 3 Stunden sind in der Regel nie ein Problem, es hält je nach Game eher 4 Stunden durch. Ich kann den Akku empfehlen
