ProGuard Softie Muzzle Set

I started using Proguard Softie Muzzles with my clients' dogs about 3 months ago and they are head and shoulders above any other muzzle I've seen or used. They are comfortable for longer term use, allow the dog to open its mouth, pant and even drink water. Muzzles that keep a dog's mouth closed create anxiety and distress in most dogs, which obviously is undesirable when your goal is to modify a dog's aggressive behavior. A muzzled dog that is excited, nervous, or hot must be able to pant; keeping a dog's mouth closed in that situation can be life-threatening. I wasn't too thrilled that the green muzzle had text and a large graphic on it reading that it was an emergency muzzle. Despite this, it is convenient to have a whole set with multiple sizes. This is the best muzzle I've found to use as a short term calming aid. It allows dogs to fully open their mouths to pant and is very difficult for a dog to remove on their own.

These are a must have for any groomer or vet clinic! Some muzzles prevent the dog from being able to open their mouths. As a groomer I know first hand that some dogs struggle and the dog is unable to pant which adds stress on it and me. But with these muzzles the dog is able to pant and I don't have to worry about getting bite or having my pet pass out. The muzzles are sturdy but easy to adjust and get on! Shipping was fast and arrived 2 days before expected!!!

I was going to order one but picking a size was a little hard, then I found this and thought how can I go wrong...plus being a dog trainer I can use the other sizes if a client is looking for a soft muzzle.

These are great muzzles. We prefer these over any other because they stay on good when applied properly. They will tear easily if you let the dog claw at it so try to keep their front feet away from it.

I opened it and the large muzzle was torn(?) or it was poorly stitched. It’s genuinely a disappointment because I used these muzzles at my work place and they are the best muzzles by far. I hope this was just a fluke for me.

I really like these muzzles as they are soft and appear comfortable for the dog yet effective and the mesh in the middle allows no interference with breathing.

These fit well and stay put during grooming and nail trimming. They work great for a wide range of muzzle sizes/styles.
