My bathroom sink has been running slow. I tried a liquid drain cleaner with moderate results. Saw this and gave it a try today (a week after the drain cleaner, so no risk). I was worried that it wouldn't make sufficient contact around the drain, with the drain being so close to the back edge but it worked fine. The edges are rubber and get a nice, secure suction. I covered the overflow holes, half-filled the bowl, opened the drain, quickly attached the plunger, and plunged. I did it three times, a bit of "stuff" came up. Fantastic- the bowl now empties quickly.

I bought this for my sink as well as getting Green Gobbler, which I did use. The ensuite sink on the second floor was very slow. A couple of months ago I used the Green Gobbler which appeared to help a bit but this morning I felt like plunging. All kinds of black guck came up [you cover the overflow holes so it doesn't come up in then]. I kept wiping it away with toilet paper [which I can burn later] until no more came up. This is a much better choice than the Green Gobbler. I tried all the other sinks in the house -- this was the only one that needed plunging. After plunging I did pour some very hot water down. Highly recommended. It can be stored standing up if you have a place -- otherwise it might be awkward.
