Victor Wooten Bass Workshop: The Language of Music and How to Speak It (Book/Media Online)

Wooten and Wellington's Bass Workshop is an eye opening "outside the box" teaching method to understanding your bass instrument. Great advice that sticks with you and spot on exercises which I have incorporated into my bass practice artillery. They cover 10 elements of grooving with your bass:Articulation, Rhythm, Tone, Listening ,Phrasing, Space, Feel, Technique, Dynamics and playing the "right"notes. In Part 2 of the Workshop, Wooten teaches tapping, thumb technique and how to solo. It's well written and understandable depending on your level. If you embrace Wooten's concepts and ideas you'll be a better instrumentalist. I've certainly seen growth in my bass playing since using the book.

victor wooten est un très grand virtuose sur sa basse, mais visiblement la pédagogie n'est pas son truc.ce livre n'a rien d'une méthode, il n'y a pratiquement que du blabla et extrêmement peu d'exercices .ce qui est je trouve particulièrement scandaleux est qu'il utilise sa notoriété pour donner l'illusion qu'il aide les gens à progresser, ce qui n'est pas je pense sa réelle motivation.si vous cherchez une vrai méthode pour le slap ou le tapping je vous conseil les livres de Stuart Clayton qui lui est un authentique pédagogue et un excellent bassiste . je possède ces deux SUPER méthodes : ULTIMATE SLAP BASSE (206 pages) ET ULTIMATE TAPPING (256 pages) . et la vous pouvez avoir confiance .
