Good upgrade compared to the green one that comes with the classic unit. Quieter

I purchased this to go with my Eheim Ecco 2236. It fits perfectly and does exactly what I need it to do. I like that it came with 3 pieces of spray bar attachments, so you can make it longer or shorter depending on tank placement. I did notice it seems to lower my gph fairly significantly. But I am running dual filters and have my tiny tank over-filtered, so I am OK with trading some gph for nice, smooth, even water circulation.

Wow, so much better and secure than Eheim filter stock bar that comes with the canister filter.

If you're tired of looking at the green outtake that came with your eheim canister this will be a great replacement. It's easy to install and put together. It truly does blend in better with a black background. Also the water flow is gentler before I had to deal with a strong current because the water was being pushed through a smaller space.

I had hoped that it would return the water under somewhat greater pressure, in order to stir the tank better. It works fine, and by tipping the return angle I can get it to roil the surface of the water. My main concern with this type of filtration was aeration of the water. This does help, and installation was quick and easy. If it were designed with more, but smaller return holes there would be more of a jet action, and that would have gotten it 5 stars. At any rate, the aeration is miles better than the single tube return that came with the tank, so it works well and I would purchase it again.

It was difficult to convince myself to pay nearly $30 for what I knew was no more than a few pieces of plastic BUT now that I've set it up and seen the plastic quality and configuration options I was impressed and very happy I spent the money. The spray bar which comes with the standard eheim 350 works but truly is ugly and is VERY Clunky. This is an elegant and effective alternative.

Not to look at green tubes. But most importantly ease of brushing hoses for maintenance

Had serious leaking problems and discontinued use.
