Excellent Mattock
This is a very nice mattock, Perfect weight for my use. I've used it three times now for grubbing out some pretty hefty tree stumps and it really was ideal.Nice and heavy with excellent cutting edges. It made short work of some very thick roots.Recommended!

Grubbing Mattock
Only received two days ago. Looks very professional but not yet had time to use.Five stars given, but obviously relating only to the service so far received. Delivery was excellent, as was the very prompt response from the seller when I queried whether the mattock dual heads should or should not be sharpened. Apparently "The cutting edges of the tool are ‘blunt ground’ before hardening. This allows the tool to be sharp enough to slice through the ground but also be tough enough to break through rocks and stones etc. without damaging the striking face. Hence, there is no need to sharpen the edge for its intended purposes."JCB Contractor Tools

Great for roots!
I bought this to remove roots from several large bushes, very easy to use as the tool came sharp, handle strong enough to lean on and work the roots out. Will save your back from all the hard work!

The Bad Boy of gardening!
Thoroughly enjoyed putting this bad boy to the test! We have a relatively large garden, and this time of the year the weeds tend to cost us dearly through gardeners’ fees. This time I decided to try to do the weeding myself and have been experimenting with a number of tools. After reading the reviews, which are excellent IMHO, I decided to take a plunge! Oh boy! What a pleasure weeding had become! And my ABS are also getting a nice workout! Highly recommend. A must have tool for any serious gardener!

Just the job for clearing ground/roots in double quick time!
I don't normally put much faith in reviews these days - but some reviews for this mattock were found to be spot on once I used it.An absolute must for clearing areas of ground with assorted tree roots etc.A heavy duty piece of kit that makes light work of the jobs we all tend to dread.As others have said - I wish I had bought one years ago.Highly recommended.

Good for burying bodies!
Really useful when you've got to get a body in the ground fast and your adrenaline is all pumping.
