Cucinare Stainless Steel Colander 5-Quart Strainer for Cooking and Kitchen Use(Large)

This one drains so much better than my bigger, thicker stainless steel colanders. I've been using it several times a day, every day, for over a month. No rust. No problems. It holds plenty of pasta or beans or lettuce for rinsing. I even like the looks of it. If I had any complaint it would be wanting it raised up a bit more so that if I make the mistake of putting it directly over the garbage disposal drain, it doesn't back up the sink by plugging up the hole... partly because it drains very fast. I usually set it inside another colander to raise it higher so I don't get back-up water onto my food. I may buy more similar to this... would stack nicer than the odd assortment I currently have of older brands and styles. I can't rinse raw rice (such as thinner jasmine, etc.--I've not tried the fatter rice). But everything that is a little bigger rinses as it should. It's been in and out of the dishwasher, too. Holding up good.

I have two 1 foot square water drains in my side yard. As we are downhill from neighbor water flows down to them bringing large numbers of leaves which clog the drain grates. I inverted one of these colanders over each drain and weighed it down with a brick. This keeps leaves out of the drain grates and allows water to flow to the drains. This is a simple fix for my problem but I'm sure it is not the intended use of the product. BUT it works great!!

really cool colander its a little shallow but with that being said i highly recommend its light weight durable and easy too clean and even though its not as deep as my other colanders I've never had a spill

Great colander and easy to clean. Only issue is that the bottom part accumulates gunk because of a joint in the metal.

It came dented and is not expensive enough to warrant going through the return process. It is also flimsy so I don't see it holding up well over time. I don't recommend buying this product.

It's ok. I haven't really used it, but when I got it I could feel that it's a very thin material. It was actually bent, but all I had to do it was pushed and it came back to its original form. It's not the best, but it'll do the work just fine

For the price, I was expecting something a little more solid. This colander is pretty light and flimsy. For the money, I could have gone to Bed Bath and gotten something much better. I would have returned it but there is a return charge of almost half of what I paid for it! I thought that Amazon Prime meant free returns. Guess I was wrong. Next time I'll check before ordering anything to make sure, because if the return was free, this would definitely have gone back.Save your money on this one. Pass.

Looks just like the pics and is pretty nice! The holes are small enough that even angel hair wouldn’t sneak through. I even used it to drain a can of tuna yesterday and it worked just fine. I needed a new one because I melted our old plastic one (oops!) and I’m very happy with this purchase. Arrived quickly, too :)

Product was the wrong size, description said 38.1 x 33 x 20.3cm, actual dimensions were 34.5 x 28 x 11.3cm. Intended to fit over a 30L boiler for home brew use.

Very happy with this. Seller provided a good service. It does a good job and I can put it in the dishwasher.

I bought this large 5-Quart colander to use with my coffee roasting. Its a nice size for emptying the roasted beans into and I can shake the chaff off the beans and cool them. It is nice and light for its size and well made. It would be excellent for emptying vegetables into and pasta etc. A best buy.

Cleaning vegetables, draining cooked rice, this does the task. Easy enough to clean, too.
