I use wire hangers for my garment bag and pack extras along in my roller bag because they never have enough hangers provided in hotel and cruise ship closets. I have tried multiple brands of hangers and had issues with most. The thickness and quality of the metal used in the construction of these hangers is excellent. The listing indicates 13 gauge, but to give everyone a better idea of thickness I added a picture of it next to a cotton swab Q-tip. The thickness is comparable to the shaft of the cotton swab. The construction is sturdy and not easy to bend like others I have used. The twist at top where the hanging area meets the hook is well executed providing a very solid feel. They are thick enough to be substantial and sturdy, but still space saving enough to pack in my luggage. When I was comparing it to other hangers for sale on Amazon, I thought they had a pretty high per unit. I almost went with another. I have been on two business trips so far using the hangers. So far, the good quality is holding up well so hoping the extra cost will end up proving that these hangers are a much better value than having to replace cheaper ones more often. Time will tell, but I am optimistic that the quality will give them a long life of lots of use. I am reviewing this for my frequent use for travel. I don't use them in my home closets, so I can't speak to home use. For the way I use them for travel, I highly recommend.

Least expensive hangers available. Strong and good quality. I bought them so I could hang clothes in a yard sale and not worry about removing the clothes before the new owners took them home. They did the job perfectly.

I use to buy hangers that have a fabric hanger but they break from the hanging part after a while, so I thought i would go back the these old fashioned ones. They are very sturdy.

These hangers are great for hanging a bunch of shirts in a small amount of space. They are narrow enough that they take up no more room than the flimsy white hangers laundered shirts come back on, but are much more sturdy. They stay straight and don't get all bent up.
