History of the Green Howards: Three Hundred Years of Service

Being an ex Green Howard I already knew a fair amount of the history but this book filled in a lot of the gaps, thanks.

Intriguing full of facts pictures my old man was happy with it

Geoffrey & John Powell's book I have found to be excellent and well researched volume, well illustrated. I have found it very interesting and easy to read.However, the price it is currently offered on Amazon for (£70+) is a bit extortionate as it is available direct from the Green Howards Museum in Richmond for the cover price (£25 + carriage)

A very well written history of the Regiment which also manages the achievement of being extremely readable. Very well illustrated including many b+w and colour photographs in high quality reproduction, and with a number of very interesting appendices. A first class book all round. I looked forward to returning each day to read another chapter to feed my long-held curiosity about this distinguished Regiment and its history.
