The 50 States: Activity Book: Maps of the 50 States of the USA (Volume 2) (Americana, 2) Paperback – Illustrated, June 7, 2016

The illustrations are really nicely done, it makes the book seem more expensive than what it is. My only critique - and this is not the author's fault of course- is that several times it asks the child questions about their home state. This is unfortunate for me because I got it as a gift for my godson, who is Swedish and lives in Sweden. I like to send him American themed things, and as he gets older and learns English in school he can handle more sophisticated books/activities having to do with the US. He has been to the US many times and been to several states so I was hoping this would be a refresher of things he's seen and learned. I suppose he can use the state I live in as his "home state" for the purposes of those pages. But overall a really well done book!

These books made our road trip with 2- 9 year old's much more pleasant! We made 'goody bags' for the kids for our2 day road trip down south. It was fun for them to use google to fill in the information and to see on the maps where wewere and what it took to go on our route. They finished the book after the first 2 days, so had nothing to do on the wayhome, but we loved that it gave them some education on Spring Break! Highly recommend for this age group to give themsomething non-electronic to do on a family road trip!

I really love this book. Such fun colors and illustrations. My 5 year old is obsessed with the huge book 50 states so was thrilled when we found the activity book. Keeps learning fun, and I love products like that.

I haven't had time to do anything in the book with my granddaughter, age 5, yet. She thinks the large map looks cool. Now I have to get "sparkly" pins so that we can pin each place where she has traveled. The work pages look interesting, and I think they will generate conversation. It is not only educational, but it also looks like fun.

In a world of electronic pacifiers where our kids are becoming zombies, there's still some good old creative-provoking activity books out there for long road trips! This one is great for kids from 7-12 and it really is a great educational guide too! Everyone in the car will learn something when the kids start asking questions about what they are reading within this activity book. Mission accomplished!

This is a wonderful resource and accompaniment to The 50 States Book. Fun and engaging activities are perfect for studying states or on a family road trip. I thought the pull-out poster was a really nice addition. Once side is a fun, full-color, poster of the USA. The other side has all of the state flags in addition to all of the US Presidents through 2016.

Not loving this. I got this activity book to go along with the 50 states book that we use for homeschooling. I thought because this activity book went with it that it would also be great. This activity book is not great. I expected it to have more individual state activities. It has some puzzles and stuff but it’s all super easy. The poster of the presidents and state flags is nice, but a bit annoying that the US map is on the back because if I want to hang it up I have to choose a side. It’s not worth the price, that’s for sure.

If this has been sitting in your cart for awhile it's time to hit BUY IT NOW! This book is breathtakingly beautiful! My boys aged 10 & 12 enjoy looking through it and learning new facts. I have learned a bit myself and just absolutely love the illustrations. Great book! Don't hesitate! Your personal library needs this!
