To Sir, With Love

This movie is a classic. Poitier plays an engineer looking for a job. He settles for a teaching position at a school in the low end district. The kids aren't happy, he's a black man, (and this is the 60s,) and not from their neighborhood. His ways are as strange to them as theirs are to him. But everyone comes to a point of understanding, and genuine care. Love the theme song. It cost less than $9-before taxes and handling. And it's captioned.

I highly recommend this movie...........excellent performance on the part of Sidney.

Loved this when I was a kid! still do

This movie always warms my heart Sidney Poitier is such an awesome actor. He portrays a teacher with so much passion while helping his students. And of course the theme song is perfect. Just writing this review makes me want to watch it again.

Expérience faite,le sujet était parfaitement réalisable en 1967 et plusieurs années encore.Allez enseigner...constatez en 2023 ! (Ne serait-ce,tout bêtement et simplement que la tenue vestimentaire de la plupart des enseignants !) . Certes,il y a de riches exceptions.

中学時代に観た映画、邦題「いつも心に太陽を」です。シドニー・ポワチエ主演。熱血新任教師と生徒の心あたたまる交流を描いた名作です。卒業式のダンスパーティーでルルが歌う「To Sir,with Love」が忘れられず購入しました。字幕無し、もちろん、日本語無しの輸入版ですがお気に入りの映画です。

Received this today (Dec 8). Blu-ray was well packed and arrived undamaged. Says regions A.B.C. Bought this as a Christmas present for my wife. This blu-ray plays in my regular blu-ray p;layer with no problem. Picture is clear and bright. Sound is excellent good on it. A 2K restoration. A great film that can be enjoeyd again.
