I’ve used the Braun hair removal device now, and I’m genuinely impressed. The results are smooth, long-lasting, and way better than shaving. It removes even the tiny, fine hairs and leaves the skin feeling soft. The device itself is easy to hold and use, and while there’s a slight discomfort during the first few uses. it gets much more manageable over time. I bought the Braun Face Mini Hair Remover (FS1000) for my mum, and over the few weeks she’s used it, it’s proven to be a genuinely useful little tool rather than a gimmick. What works well: • It removes fine facial hair cleanly and close to the skin — great for upper lip, chin, and cheeks — so makeup goes on smoother. • The built-in smart light helps catch even the faintest hairs, which makes precision easier and gives a neat finish. • It’s compact and battery powered — tiny enough to slip into a handbag or drawer, so handy for quick touch-ups anywhere. • My mum said it felt gentle on the skin and didn’t irritate — which matters if you’re doing frequent maintenance. What isn’t perfect: • Because it’s a blade-based remover rather than epilation or laser, results don’t last as long — hair wax or epilators stay effective for longer. • If you’re dealing with thick or darker hairs, it can struggle a bit — best suited for fine hair or everyday “clean-up”. More pleasant to use on moustache & chin area than other epilators, as it isn’t painful. leaves skin feeling smooth & doesn’t irritate as others can. Lasts a good time in between epilations. Easy to use. Takes one AA battery. Portable. Lipstick sized.

I am a woman of a certain age where the odd rogue hair appears on the chin etc. I wanted something that would easily deal with the issue but was discreet. This mini hair remover is just that! Its only small, just slightly larger than a lipstick and uses one AA battery. Easy to keep clean as it comes with a small brush to clean it with and it comes apart for cleaning. Quiet to use and works very effectively. Just glide it over the skin and those unsightly hairs are gone for a while until they decide to make a comeback. Much better than some other methods.

Once you get used to super 'smooth life' without peach fluff you won't go back. Like most I tried different brands before and when I came across a Braun model while needing a new one I went for it. This facial hair remover ticks all boxes for me in terms of quality and performance, five stars here, all boxes ticked. Well almost ... After 1 year or so I found it did not work well anymore. I first changed the battery and all that until I noticed that the shaver head was corroded. That is something which happens to them all and is somewhat nature of the beast. However, I could not believe that Braun does not provide replacement heads .... Seriously? Let's be honest, replacement heads are usually not so much about saving money, two replacement heads usually work out out the same as a new hair remover. Even the very first models of this type of shaver came with replacement heads available. So call me naïve but when purchasing the first Braun model I did not even waste a thought on Braun not providing replacement heads in this day and age. This might be a low price product within their entire product range but still, producing and selling something that requires the owner to throw away the entire kit once the blade is no longer functioning is wasting resources and adding to the millions of tons of waste the world is struggling with for no good reason. I got this second shaver now alright and I know it will work fab again. However, if the head needs replaced the next time and Braun does still not offer replacements (ignoring basic manufacturer requirements in terms of sustainability and environmental finger print) I will be hunting out for a different shaver. What a shame, it is a great piece of kit! Note: Should I have overlooked that replacement heads are available please share. I could not find anything on the internet. I have bought a second one alright and as you can see not very happy to do so, however if in 1+ year no replacement heads are available I will have to part with this product.

I pretty much knew that Braun would make a good quality device as I’ve owned other of their products in various categories, but the performance of this neat little facial hair solution is incredibly good. So much so that - I kid you not - this battery fuelled shaver has removed my horrible facial fuzz every bit as well as, maybe even more proficiently than using a blade to do the same job. There is no pain for me as a result of using this shaver, just the slightest sensation of the rotary action pulling on the occasional slightly longer hair, in my case twice during an otherwise perfectly smooth fifteen minutes of testing the device. Test passed! I haven’t tested battery consumption on a meter but the absence of excess heat during my test session would suggest that the current draw isn’t too great for the Duracell AA cell to provide. The device represents very good value for its price, its quality of construction being excellent with a sturdy, premium feel in the hand as on the face. I can recommend the device highly,primarily because I have never, in all my years of trying, found any other make & model of such a device that actually leaves my ( fairly sensitive) skin so smooth following a session of unwanted hair removal. Try one, I’m so pleased that I did! Well done, Braun, for making this incredibly good solution to this middle aged woman’s unwanted hair.

Good battery life, easy to use and works really well. Much better than the usb charged one I had before. It’s also easy to clean.
