Amazingly effective for such a little, simple device
I knew about these loops because a vet used an Assissi loop, this one’s big brother, to heal my agility dog’s back end when she sprained it badly. So I thought I’d try this smaller, cheaper and more portable unit to help with healing and pain from a fractured sacrum that had been hurting for 9 months. I had to leave this device on for several hours at a time. After about two hours on I noticed pain diminishing the first time I wore it. Now after about a month of sporatic use (ie, only when I had pain or did activities I knew that brought on pain) I am living mostly pain free! I also have been doing my PT exercises and they help too, but the pain wasn’t diminishing much with exercises alone. Another advantage of this unit is that it doesn’t shoot a current through your body like a tens unit, which I find very disagreeable. I will keep a KT Wave Recovery loop on hand for times when I need it.

The one downside, other than no ability to replace battery…
Disclosure: I paid for this item in full from Amazon, but I was initially provided a sample of this through a sports organization. I liked the device and felt it worked well enough to purchase again and Amazon had a better price than the KT site (mostly due to shipping costs). Amazon, nor any of their sellers, did NOT provide a free or reduced cost sample.I was skeptical that around a piece of wire with a battery at one end would really do anything. I viewed it as a snake oil, but since I received a complementary sample I felt it was worth a shot and I really do feel it assisted with my pain. I have numerous painful orthopedic disabilities and skeptical about devices such as this. I’m glad I gave it a shot because I would say it reduces my chronic pain in whatever area I use it by about 35%. I felt that was effective enough to use it again and am planning on purchasing other units. The battery issue is discussed in many of these reviews. I share that issue as well.My bigger issue is the adhesive strips that are provided. They stick well, but can be quite uncomfortable to remove. Even more of an issue for me is the residue the adhesive strips leave on the loop. I used alcohol wipes and peroxide to try and remove the residue to no avail. Perhaps more scrubbing would remove the residue, but I fear too much pressure might cause damage to the wire and already had firm pressure on it when I was using the alcohol and peroxide.Upside: Nexcare Absolute Waterproof Tape works very well and does not leave a residue. It also moves with you if you use the loop in an area prone to flexing. I use this product in the evening and overnight and cannot speak to the ability to stick if wearing during a sweaty work out or in extremely humid conditions. The adhesive may be a better option under those conditions. The adhesive strips can be cut in half and found the smaller strips held just as well. From a production point of view, I wish they could sell this in a kit where you get two or three replacement batteries (or install a 500-750 hour life battery) and perhaps pay $20-25 more for it. It definitely would be more environmentally friendly in this manner. I’m sure the company can figure out how to make this a longer lasting product, but then their profits go down. I also wish there was a way the device could let you know you were down to your last 50 hours by changing the color of the light somehow. I can track 50 hours of use as it winds down, but not 250 hours of use.Overall, I’m glad I received a sample through the sports organization and clearly found it helpful enough to come here to Amazon to purchase one at regular price. I would recommend trying this if you have run out of other pain management options. Maybe it would be somewhat helpful, maybe not. But for about $30 I think it’s worth a shot.

It works!
I've experienced the much stronger PEMF machines, so if you're used to that, or used to feeling something to feel like it works, and are skeptical, read on.Wearing this while being active the only thing you will notice is that the pain subsides. You won't feel the buzz it emits. However, if you wear this while laying down in a quiet place, you will notice the buzz. My experience may be unique, but I can only describe it as feeling like a Christmas light string.I thought to wear it on my lower back while sleeping, but it was making my body do things to wear I couldn't fall asleep.First I felt the light buzz, buzz, buzz. Then noticed random muscle twitches. Then felt a warm vibration run down my right side and up my left, and stay throughout my body. Then it felt as if it went back and forth, like a current of electricity. Meanwhile the muscle twitches kept happening. For a brief moment I pictured myself as a Christmas light string and couldn't stop giggling wondering if I could light a light bulb. I realized I wasn't going to sleep with it on, so I waited a few minutes and removed it. I should mention my right hand started to ache, reminiscent of the machine if you go too strong, or too long.I slept VERY well, and felt great in the morning, no pain and inflammation was down.I wonder if the "current" I felt was it improving my circulation or tapping into all my nerves.A similar thing happened when I tried it on my bad knee the first time and laid down. Except the "current" and the twitches scared me and I stopped it within a minute.Highly recommend for any strains, sprains, inflammation, joint issues.I used a minimal amount of tape, but you can keep it in place with vet wrap or an elastic band, as someone mentioned with an elastic type garment, or lay on it as I did.Wonder if it works on migraines. Next experiment for me. Will update results.

Malfunctioning, Lasted only 12 days
Very unsatisfied. I bought 3 items and the 3 of them malfunctioned. The patch itself works and ease the pain, but it didn't cover the 720h of utility. It lasted less then 2 weeks.
