Epoisses AOP by Germain - 8.8 oz (8.8 ounce)

I have always loved epoisses in France, and to my great delight it's now available here, too!

Despite not the worlds best handling stinky cheese, the flavor is absolutely awesome. Best I've had yet. Already re-ordered & shared with my mother; who love stinky cheeses. She agreed it was the best yet.

Made by monks in France. Napoleon preferred this cheese.Often consumed with Trappist beer, or Sauternes, instead of a red wine.

I quite enjoy this Cheese, the interior of mine was very very soft, and the slice i removed required the use of a butter knife to spread on the cracker i used [as i do not have a good french bread at the moment] it was very very gooey [something i was expecting] and though the smell is strong, it doesn't taste quite as strong as it smelt [and' i've have had some strong smelling cheeses thanks to my father,some of which tasted a strongly as they smelt]so this was quite pleasant, and had a creamy milky taste to me, the rind was lovely as well.
