This Parker pen is a very good buy for the money. It feels heavy, solid, looks really nice, and because the barrel of the pen is larger than most pens, it is easy to hold and feels nice to write with.

I had mislaid my favourite Parker pen but bought this one, thinking that it had been lost forever, but eventually and fortunately for me, it was discovered by my husband in one of my coat pockets!! I still much prefer my older Parker Biro, which has the special surface to improve grip-hold. Everything else about this new pen is very good value for money, but as my grip weakens and twinges of arthritis become apparent, the shiny smooth surface of this intended replacement pen feels like harder work for me. I have to make a greater effort to tighten my hold, to stop it slipping through my fingers as I write. The black section is just slightly too low down for the weight of the top of the pen to provide the more comfortable balance achieved when using the slightly fatter older Parker Biro with its special cross-cross surface pattern. However, for the price, this is a very useful extra, ready for the next time I mislay my favourite dark grey Parker pen. I can hold that one slightly higher up to get the correct balance of weight to suit me. Anyone getting twinges in their fingers might be better paying a little more, especially if writing for a longer period of time.
