Magic the Gathering: Born of the Gods Event Deck - Underworld Herald

Love this deck. It was easy to upgrade and was a great deck to play against friends.

Me and two of my employees recently got back into Magic. We were playing casually up at the office, and some casual nights at the local game shop. We started making our own decks, and a mono black really appealed to me! This deck is absolutely mean and VERY fast. None of the decks that my guys made or bought could keep up with the speed of this deck.Get creatures out fast and start attacking. Don't worry about losing them or losing life. Don't block unless you have to. Attack as much as possible as early as possible. Life is a resource, use it. This deck will destroy almost any casual deck you come up against. I routinely beat my friends in under 5 turns with this deck.I still love it, and it inspired me to build a mono black Standard Deck that is a little bit faster and meaner.Enjoy!

This deck is absolutely amazing. I love mono black and have been a mono black player for quite some time. This deck is perfect for every nobo black player or anyone who wants to start in mono black and doesnt know what it is that they are looking for yet. This is mostly a mono black aggro (does a very good job at that) and it has potential to be a mono black midrange or devotion. Of course cards will beed to be bought for it to pull off the devotion but it is very possible. I reccomend this deck to anyone. Especially people who enjoy aggro. Best aggro deck i have seen in a while. If wizards made more decks like this the community would have a much wasier time jumping into competitive magic.

I've only been playing for a couple of months and building your own deck from scratch can be a challenge. I think this premade deck gives a person new to the game a good starting set of cards that is playable at most casual Friday night magic tournaments. If you're looking to get your feet wet for under $20 this is a good choice.

I am new to MTG, and I was a bit skeptical. This deck is not only aggressive, but it is very easy to learn. From what I understand, mono-black decks aren't typically aggro, I think this deck is definitely aggro with good board control. 5/5 for learn ability, aggressiveness and overall speed of the deck. Downfall - only has 1 pack rat, get a couple more and add to it, its amazing for a beginner deck!

This was my first deck and I bought it on the strength of previous reviews. I have had the chance to play it against experienced players and have been able to compete well and win even though I am a beginning player. What a confidence booster!

The best event deck I've played. Used this casually against other event decks and always beat them. Definitely not a tier 1 deck but a great start.

It's not a headliner deck, but you'll find this deck to be quite powerful. I swapped out a few cards for 3 grey merchants and another pack rat.. this deck hasnt lost in quite some time and some of my friends refuse to play against it.

Everything came as advertised. I would buy again.
