Very disappointing....
I recently watched the animated “wolverine: X-men” complete series and absolutely LOVED IT! I also watched the animated DR. Strange and really really liked it’s. But this movie is an Asgardian hot mess of garbage. The first 10 minutes of the movie depicts Thor as a guy who loses every fighting match in a public ring except for the fact that the people who fight him let him win, and he’s too dumb to know that. He verbally beats down lady Sif in a very nasty tone and then gets his ass handed to him by her. He verbally berates his Warriors Three in public and comes across as an indulgent emotional snot.Thor in the comics can come across as arrogant but his prowess as a fighter is why. The man can fight. He also doesn’t treat his friends as if they are dirt beneath his feet. He’s soo unlikable in this movie it’s hard to watch. And it doesn’t get much better. In fact all of the characters are unlikable and unfun. Some people love this movie. I was not one of them. This is just one humble females opinion.

The cover can be misleading
For a collector, very happy to own this. I've never seen it before this purchase & with that being said, you would think by the cover it might be a little more of a mature veiwing. Unfortunately, it is more for the younger teens. Other than this I have no complaints.

It's okay - mostly kid fare
I'm not normally a big fan of the heroes being kids but that's not what this is exactly. This is the story of a hero before he was a hero. The fact that many characters are "simplified" in this is probably because it's more geared toward kids than adults. As an adult, I felt it was okay. Guessing kids would like it more than I did.Other than being more kid oriented the only problem I had with it was the way they treated the Valkyrie. They must've been on vacation because the Amazons were hired to play thier parts. To my knowledge the Valkyrie are not anti-male isolationists as the Amazons are. It is thier job to carry the fallen heroes to hall of (I forget - heroes?).This is a kind of growing up story for Thor. If you want Thor the hero, skip it. If his growing up story interests you give it a try. The highlight for me was a backstory from when Odin clashed with Surtur.

I enjoyed it!
Thor as a young Asgardian just finding his stride, and without his hammer throughout the entire episode, although there is a teaser indicating that he has some kind of lucky magical power with all hammers. Well worth the watch!

It's About Time Marvel!
This was a truly enjoyable experience not only for a fan of the comic book but as one interested in Norse mythology. Now I realize that there is an animated feature but beware it is not for younger children. The animation is excellant and the story is enjoyable with one flaw...it is too short. I want more. It was so much fun to see Thors journey from spoiled brat to noble son of Odin. I hope Marvel continues in this vein of story for its characters. They have lost alot of ground to DC who knows how to make a good animated movie based on its characters.Another thing missing was Balder The Brave. Why does Marvel disrespect this wonderful character? The special features are enjoyable with a behind the scenes featurette and an extra episode of the Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes.

Thor rises and embraces his calling as a hero
This coming of age tale for Thor was a much welcomed version of the hero and the god that we see now on the big screen. In this tale we see not only Thor rise to embrace his nature but also his Half Brother Loki, as well as the warriors three and The warrior Maiden Sif. Each has a small arc in a big picture. The animation was embracing of the older cartoon styles and while anyone could watch this and be ok, it held its own as a Marvel movie. The picture allowed for the Worlds tree and even showed you some sights not normally seen like the land of the Valkaries. I would watch this type of movie again.

Not a tv version.
At first I was afraid that this was going to be some kind of series that was on tv but it turns out it is a full length new story, I am so glad. This is the story of when Thor and his brother Loki liked each other. When they were younger. This is when Thor was at his most egotistical and wants adventure and finds it with Loki and the Warriors 3, This is a very serious cartoon because mistakes that are made are very costly. the art is great and the story is wonderful.

Coming of Age Thor Story
I really enjoyed this movie. The animation looked somewhat Saturday morning cartoonish, but it wasn't bad, and the story was good. If you're an old Marvel comics Thor fan, you've seen this storyline before, i.e., the young, arrogant Thor having to take his lumps to learn some humility. I didn't quite understand the whole Valkyrie subplot, as the Valkyrie's are portrayed as adversarial to the people of Asgard, not the servants of Odin as they are traditionally (mythologically?) portrayed. I guess the makers needed a feminist angle to sell the film. Thor and Loki are still amiable brothers in this one as it occurs before Loki becomes antagonistic to Thor and Asgard. All in all, a pretty good film.

Great Cartoon
I can't get enough of the Norse myths lately and i love pretty much any version from the Edda translations, through books like The Gospel Of Loki (Joanne Harris), through the Loki films (Sorry, they are under the titles of Thor and, erm, oh yes, the Avengers) and right to graphic novels (Journey Into Mystery for example) and now cartoons. Great story, great cartooning which was reminiscent of those I watched as a kid. A must for anyone who likes the Thor story :) (And Loki)

Cool movie
Nice to watch but don't see myself watching it over and over again like I do some others. I do love the portrayal of the relationship between Loki and Thor in this movie and the storyline is decent. Also love the Earth Mightiest Heroes episodes which are included in the set.

Not the Thor we're used to!
This is a very enjoyable story about a character we've never seen in the comics a young Thor! The story is well told and gives a interesting insight into two of Marvels most interesting characters, Thor and his greatest enemy Loki. Hopefully this is merely the intro into some more stories about the adult Thor the Thunder God!

Just Alright
Just a decent hour and a half cartoon adventure of Pre-Mjolnir Thor, with an uninteresting episode of an avengers cartoon. Would watch again, but it really isn't a must for Thor fans.
