A bit dainty in person, but beautiful, and arrived in perfect condition. The glasses weren't treated roughly or placed on odd surfaces, and they were promptly gently hand washed after use to keep the designs in good condition. However, after around the second use for most glasses, they began to lose significant amounts of paint. These glasses are hard to rate fairly because they're surprisingly heavy and sturdy, but one of the key reasons I bought these is for the beautiful paint. Four Stars, I guess?

First: These look good in the picture, but this is one of those items that's even better looking than the picture! Yes, these are a bit gawdy. Maybe even a bit cheesy. But I use them in a vacation home where "fun" place settings are the best fit these black and gold glasses always get either complements or a smile. I cannot comment regarding durability as I use them only occasionally and hand wash them with a soft cloth as I do not trust the thickness or hardness of the gold tone plating or black surface area and do not want to scratch them. It is my best guess that the colored surfaces are thin and soft and would be damaged if washed with a scratching type sponge or lose their luster if ran through the dishwasher often. The price of these glasses makes this a practical option for occasional use.
