Stunning
The Artists did a fantastic job in this, all the panels are simply exquisite. The story is interesting as it's Snake Eyes is framed for the deaths of Joe's he trained. The falsehood spun by the villains is so real that the Joe's honestly believe it was Snake that committed such a betrayal.Snake rounds up a team to follow a lead on the man behind all the deception, much to Scarlett's displeasure, she is not on the team Snake rounded up. But later, we discover that it may not be for reasons she believes. After all, where Snake's mind seems to reveal a lot one the relationship he views with her. However, in the end, a conversation(with Snake Texting) between the Ninja and Scarlett reveals that we need to read the other Cobra Civil War comics to gain insight to happenings which take place in the Pit during Snake's absence.

Exciting read. Enjoyed reading this!
Love this series on Snake Eyes! My favorite story about Snake Eyes except the ones that deal with his ninja training in Japan!

Been a fan of Snake Eyes for decades
But since Larry Hama, there really hasn't been much added to his lore. Been a pretty static character and so far this series hasn't changed that.

If you bait a snake be prepared for it's bite
An enjoyable read especially for Snake Eyes fans. The art work is good and very bright. My only complaint about this volume is that I would have liked a bit more to the fight scenes. I think they could have devoted more panels to prolong the fights.Snake Eyes is the perfect blend of old school and new weapons, he is just as comfortable with a machine gun as he is with a blade, and just as deadly unarmed. That coupled with his reputation as the baddest JOE there is a contender for Cobra leadership decides to cement his claim by calling Snake out and killing him. To do this he sends his own ninja henchmen to kill Snake’s former students, and leaving a trail of breadcrumbs for him to follow to the showdown. There are parts of the book done very well, though he does not say anything, they do show Snakes temper getting the better of him and rushing into situations, but the way he handles it adds to his mystic of weather that was his plan all along. There are a couple of scenes we catch glimpses of Snakes battle scared flesh (never his complete face), and they show scars from slashes, to stab/bullet wounds and burns. This to me was a very nice touch, and the detail in the artwork was great. This can be read and kept as a self-contained series, they is plenty of clean up and work to do for the next volume I can't wait.
