Lots of great advice, good book to pick up when you need to get out of your own head about your business and remember its a business.

I hardly ever write reviews but honestly this book deserves a 10 star review! I have spent the last 5 months studying this front to back. The knowledge that Tina shares is so helpful in every aspect of the salon business. Knowing what I know now just from studying this book I would have gladly paid twice the amount I did for it. She is blunt, straightforward, doesn't hold back and yet her writing style is funny and easy to read. Sit down with a highlighter, pen and paper because you are in for a thorough course on salon ownership! I am a stylist in the process of opening up my own hair salon and thanks to her I honestly feel very comfortable and confident moving forward. I highly recommend this book!! And I promise I wasn't compensated for this review. She just did such a great job I had to come on here and give it the review it deserves!

This book is BIG. I read Tina Alberino's first book, The Beauty Industry Survival Guide, last spring 2 or 3 times and I loved it (and highly recommend for aspiring/ experienced beauty industry professionals) so happy to be writing the first review on Amazon for this book! I have not finished the book but she is so informative, specific, and writes so clear that I dont need to! I am still in High School and I think this is gonna be my new favorite book. I will update again and talk about her writing more but the print is very nice, very organized, and I've been waiting for this to come out for almost a year! Check it out and get a giant leap ahead into the business game! P.S. would love to meet you Tina!

20+ years as a corporate attorney, I bought Ms. Alberino's book to support my wife's decision to start a second career. I've managed complex, cross-border multi-million dollar deals for clients, but the thought of owning a spa made my head spin. No more. Ms. Alberino has done an exceptional job combining wit, humor and subject matter expertise.This is now my go-to resource for our business planning. The legal chapters should be required reading in all cosmetology schools. If you want to know the business, there really is no need to buy another book.

A must have book for spa ownership. This is the best book I've found on learning how to deal with setting up and running your own spa/salon. I love how the author clearly details every bit of info without being too complicated. I also recommend it to those just even thinking about opening their own spa business. If I have read this prior to opening my biz, I could have saved some headaches. The book has helped me tremendously and I highly recommend it.
