Dacor86007C BURNER RING TOOL-CHROMED

This tool is needed to remove the burner securing rings, its a must, dont be impatient. if your stove is old and lots of greese and crud the use PBR penetrating catalyst, soak the rings do not use a hammer once you start you will have to use a bushing cutter to cut the brass ring off, jsut be patient, the rings are not actually put on tight they are just gummed up.. also industrial degreaser or brake clean might get the grime off then penetrating oil. the tool is stronger than the brass rings but it will bend if your rings are stuck.. I read the below reviews, being a long time mechanic and machine shop person i again suggest using the penetrating oil and wait , even a day then use heat, propane torch but dont bust out the hammer just yet.. will be a bigger issue to deal with damaged threads and more parts. Also when we ordered the conversion jets they came in teh wrong bags , big jet big burner, little jet, little burner.. use your commone sense and make sure your install all parts correctly. good luck our dacor conversion to propane went well!

This tool is a "MUST HAVE" is you own a DACOR range cook top/Oven. It's used to Install and Adjust new Burner Rings. "YOU GOTTA HAVE IT!"Now I got it! And... I'm happy with the tool... BUT!Why did it take so long for it to ship?Tool = 5 Stars.Delivery = 1 Star.

I bought this to work on customers Dacor range and it does not fit the little rings on the large burners with 4-5 of those little brass castle nuts. Waste of money and pretty sure this can be purchased for half this from Dacor directly.

My Dacor range is 20 years old but Im not quite ready to let it go. This tool is a must for undoing the burner rings and accessing the computer panel. I recall watching a service tech try to get the rings back on using this tool and it was a hard job which involved standing on the stove. Wish me luck!

It worked as expected and made it working on the the burners much easier. Being so easy to use it allows you to tighten the rings every so often as they do loosen up of time probably because the down pressure from the wight of the pots and pan and also the eat.

I got it to take off 4 of the brass rings but the last brass ring was stubborn and it broke while trying to turn it counter clockwise. It was a difficult process that ended up with me purchasing a new Dacor stove top. However, the company was fast and packing was great. I give the item two stars not the company.

With an older Dacor unit, these rings are extremely difficult to unscrew. This tool bent under the strain, and then would slip out of the slots, permanently destroying them. I had applied a rust penetrant before attempting to unscrew the rings, to no avail. I had to resort to a hammer and punch to get the ring off. Other manufacturers do not use this design.

Great tool. Quality material and fits well. Required some effort to unscrew the keeper, but made removing the burner rings much easier. Very glad I purchased the tool.
