Compression hose do exactly what they are supposed to do: relieve or decrease that dull aching pain due to varicose veins and these hose do that very well. While the compression is intense, it is enough to ease or relieve pain, depending on how much my varicosities are bothering me. So far, I've just machine washed them and hung them to dry and this seems to be working very well. Since I've worked in the health care field, I'm familiar with the brand "Jobst" and for this reason, I chose this brand of compression hose, and I'm glad I did. They stand up to their reputation of quality. I would definitely purchase again when needed.
