Thrush17638 Welded Muffler

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  We installed this muffler on our 1999 Grand Am Resto mod and it sounds awesome!At idle this muffler produces a very deep rumble.At speed, this muffler is quite loud. In the Grand Am the peak "resonance" of the sound is right around 45mph. Don't expect to be carrying on intimate conversations while heading down the road!I recently installed a Thrush "turbo muffler" on another vehicle and this welded muffer is easily twice as loud.This is a crossflow style muffler with one inlet and two outlets which makes it a cinch to get a functioning "dual exhaust" behind the axle in any car that came from the factory with a muffler mounted transversely across the back of the car.If you have a decent set of headphones or a speaker system with a subwoofer, the attached video will give you a good idea of the sound.

I bought this muffler for my '04 Grand Am. It's got an aggressive tone, deep and provides a good rumble but doesn't really drone. It isn't as loud as the similar Flowmaster muffler, but sounds deeper. Overall very pleased with the sound.

Replaced an old flowmaster with this one. Exact dimensions as the flowmaster so easy install for me. Sound is milder but still sporty what is enjoyable is the rumble and vibration is gone at idle. The flowmaster was just unbearable felt like you were sitting in a washer on the spin cycle.

This was advertised as a one in two out, its not! Plus it was bent when it showed up. I've used thrush welded mufflers before and love them.

Bought this and had it welded in place of my original muffler. Wasnt much louder, not much deeper either, product quality is great and amazon shipped it right out, if i could return it i would but not sure if they would take back a used muffler
