Exceptional product and customer service
Here's the email we wrote to the company. Hope it helps you, too:"Thanks for your email - great communication! To help you in your new collaboration, we spent some time researching these on Amazon. We liked that you seemed to have done your research and were thoughtful in your design. It arrived today (wow, fast - on a Sunday!) and we are making some coffee as I type this. We like the design - nice look, clean, and solid. To give you some background, we have been drip brewing our coffee by the cup for quite a while, but were just using regular strainers that dipped into the cup. It's an inexpensive option and has worked well enough for us. We were about to buy another, when our search on Amazon brought up many similar to yours, and it made sense to buy something designed for making coffee specifically. Why did we choose yours over the competition? We liked that you seemed like real people and cared about a quality design and quality customer service. Other factors important to us were: where was it made and how much did it cost? It seems all of these are made in China - at least our search didn't come up with any other options. If we had found one made in USA, I admit that likely would have swayed us away from yours. You didn't hide that it was made in China and even provided an explanation. Also, yours seemed a little more expensive to us, but we hope that the quality makes up for the difference and that we won't have to replace it for many years to come. So we almost bought a less expensive one, but quality mattered: yours was made from 18/10 food-grade stainless steel and we thought the silicone seal would make a difference - and bottom line, we liked what you said and believed you when you said that would back up our purchase.Good luck in your new venture...my husband has just brewed our first cup and said it brewed "fantastically". We took our first sips and our coffee tastes great, too. We think we bought a winner. Hope all of this helps you.P.S. One last thing, we use unbleached paper filters and appreciated that you addressed using paper filters for those of us who prefer using them."UPDATE: After 2 months, our brewer still looks and brews coffee like new. We love it and would buy it again - although I see it lasting for a very long time. We use it daily. There is absolutely no clogging if you use paper filters - and our coffee always tastes delicious. The email communication and follow-up for this company has been exceptional; I feel confident if you had a concern, they would address it.

Truly Great Product -- at first.
I was somewhat skeptical when shopping for a filter which would let me get away from throwing out paper filters every day as I wasn't sure such a device existed which would both free me from the garbage guilt and make a great cup of coffee. This filter does the trick and as a bonus, it makes even better coffee than the paper filters! It's easy to clean, rugged yet stylish, easy to use. Wish I had this many years ago.Edit: Worked great for a couple of months, but slowly plugged up and now takes forever to get a cup of coffee out of it. Doesn't seem possible to get the bottom filter cleaned out, so once it plugs up, this filter is trash -- expensive trash.

The filter worked great until a couple of weeks ago when the flow ...
The filter worked great until a couple of weeks ago when the flow through the filter dropped off so much that it is no longer usable. I have tried blowing compressed air the clear the screen with no increase in flow. As I am in the filtration business I have a guess on why the flow dropped off to a few drops a minute. If you look into the bottom of the cone you will see a perforated plate which all the coffee flows thru. The holes are probably 1/32 inch or finer. The coffee flows thru this into a much finer mesh and into the cup. I would think the fine mesh would be placed before the perforated holes and not after as this creates a trap for the finer grinds that have made their way thru the perforated screen. Trying to clean the very fine coffee particles is very difficult. I even tried using a very coarse grind on my beans thinking it was my grinder. Just my two cents.Update 6/27/18 I did some more reading on the cleanable filters similar to this one and one user suggested cleaning the filter in hot vinegar to clean the filter. I tried it yesterday and made coffee this morning and the flow was better. Not great ,but better. I will try cleaning for a longer time and see what happens.

Smooth, flavorful, and convenience in a single cup brewer-just don't be in a hurry for your coffee.
I have had several of the single-cup coffee brewers over the years, and none a) filtered coffee grounds cleanly or b) made a decent-tasting cup. This product has been made with the demands of coffee drinkers in mind. I add a few drops of hazelnut flavoring, as that's my favorite taste. My only quibble is that it takes quite some time for the water to filter through, and you can't be in a hurry. If you enjoy a smooth, flavorful cup that rivals some of the best single cup brewers I've tried, including the French press method, I'd recommend this little guy.

High quality and perfect for my morning pour-over
High quality and perfect for my morning pour-over. The base allows for a variety of cup sizes. Very easy to see below the base to determine the liquid level in the cup or mug you are using. It is perfect for my YETI tumbler. Extremely easy to clean and it looks nice sitting on the counter next to my coffee grinder. I prefer a very strong cup of coffee so I grind my beans a little finer than recommended. Flow through rate is still very acceptable and the end result is my perfect cup of coffee. I would highly recommend to those who want more control over the end product in their cup and would like to get away from a traditional brewer or a pod machine. One key, to the perfect cup of coffee, is to remember to let the coffee "bloom" for 30-60 seconds when you start your pour-over. Well worth the money.

water pours through hole too fast for my taste
I wish the water did not pour so quickly through the hole. If the hole was smaller, the water would go through more slowly and the coffee would be stronger.
