Right Now
Thanks to Dave I have located the Table of Contents.Good basic info. Not as detailed as I like, but it won't be unless the Army starts giving away secrets. I have learned from this book. I am using this as a reference for writing and in my context it does the job. So I'll bump it to a 4 star.As of now, it's a 3 star. Reason being, there is no table of contents or index. One must scan the whole F'ing book to find what one wants. After I find the sections I am looking for, I will review again.NOTE: Better late than never, I have upgraded the review to 5 stars as promised

What a Deal!!!
Where can you get this much information for this price? It takes me back to four years in ARMY ROTC and basic training in the US Army PLUS so much more. While there is no such thing as a replacement for hands on training; this book has a lot of great information.

Good info, but no Indexing to the Table of Contents
I have enjoyed this book and the information is very good, but I miss the fact that there is no indexing to the table of contents in the e-book version. If you want to jump to a particular chapter, you must hunt for it, and then bookmark it yourself.

Nice.
I am only about half way through the book and I must say.... It is almost to big to be a reader. I foresee, briefly looking at the whole book and then using it as a reference for when I want to learn something new.... IMO, for a prepper, it is perfect. Not that you couldn't get similar info online, but knowing I have it all in one place is nice...I will be going with a paper copy too for long term keeping.

Extremely Well Written and Researched Book on the Military Science of Ground Combat
This excellent and well documented book on the military science of ground combat provides the reader with a detailed description of how ground combat should be accomplished from the most simple hand to hand combat to strategic warfare. For those who have never experienced ground combat, it reveals how ground combat at all levels is a military science that requires the application of intelligence to physical, emotional, and intellectual skills outlined in the book. I served as an Infantryman with the U.S. Army in Vietnam.

A 100 page story told in 1000 pages
This would be a good book at best if you were literally building your own army. This book highlights the difference between training and education. It was definitely written for a training environment. Since I'm looking to be educated (not trained), this book fell way short. For example, the lessons on hand to hand combat would be good if you could put the teachings to practice. However, one would be foolish to think you could put these skills to use. Further, learning the different machine gun and grenade types and parts was a bit much for those of us who do not have access or interest in using those army issue weapons. Lastly, I'm not training marksmen, nor do I have access to my own shooting range, so the pages devoted to how to teach these skills and set up range scenarios was filler. I simply wanted a book to educate me on infantry tactics-- team composition, offense/defensive maneuvers, and utilizing terrain and the environment to maximize effectiveness. I got a very basic overview of what I was looking for in the last few chapters. An unexpected plus of this book was the chapter on tracking-- very interesting...and educational! At nearly 1000 pages, it's likely got some of what anyone would be looking for. It's worth the price.

Great Combat Guide
I am writing a fictional book on the coming financial collapse and I am using this book for research to make my book based on factual combat tactics. Great book if you want real combat tactics and training. I give 5 Stars to both the Seller and the Author.
