I cannot say enough good things about Mr Steamy. I am an infomercial junky and pretty much willing to give just about anything a try. I bought these specifically because I work long hours, fit laundry chores in whenever I can, and sometimes end up leaving clothes in the dryer over night where they sit and get wrinkled. You just put water in Mr Steamy, load it into the dryer, and within 10-15 minutes all wrinkles in clothes are gone. Whoever thought of this was a genius (or just another parent like me, overworked with not enough hours in the day to always do things right). I used to use a damp towel for this but Mr Steamy is a better alternative. The balls last FOREVER. The plastic outer shell is heavy duty, so the steam and the pounding in the dryer WORK REALLY WELL (much better than a damp towel, and there is no lint transfer). I purchased a second pair for my daughter and just recently another pair for a work friend. I am still using my original Mr Steamies (I've had them for about 10 years). Also, just a note of caution. I tried using a copycat while traveling to save a little money. The copycat did not work as well (plastic was not heavy enough to do the job well), so I would not recommend buying a knock-off. Even though Mr Steamy costs a little more, you will only have to buy them once because they really last! I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this product!

I have used these for a year and was disappointed that I could no longer find them in any store where I had previously seen them for sale. Then the light came on in my brain and I thought about Amaon where I have been able to find most anything. Lo and behold, they had them and I ordered three packs of them so I'd be sure not to run out. They do last awhile though but the price was right so that is why I ordered so many. I have found my clothes come out less wrinkled from the dryer when I use these balls. I still take them out immediately but I hate to iron, so I use these and don't iron anything. I recently had to buy a new dryer and when I looked at the price of a dryer with a built in steamer,I was amazed at how costly they were. So i'm happy to report that I got a much lower priced dryer and use my steamer dryer balls and am very satisfied

I live in a small condo, I have no room for a regular sized ironing board. I've ironed on the kitchen counter, a tv tray, and my bed. Ironing sucks. So I started hanging my clothes in the bathroom and taking mega hot showers, it works, the wrinkles come out but I end up wearing dampish clothes. Now there's Mr. Steamy! These guys like to make a lot of noise in the dryer, bouncing around doing their thing, which they do well. After a couple uses, I have discovered the best way to use this miracle of simple technology. You have to saturate the sponge inside the ball, toss it in the dryer soaking wet, with your damp clothes (not freshly wet) and run it for the last 10 minutes (or so) on a medium or hot dryer setting. Voila! You are now wrinkle free!Lightly dampened Mr. Steamy doesn't really work, nor does low dryer heat. It really only takes a couple minutes and you're good to go.

This is the 2nd purchase of this product that I have made. The first one I am still using, but the balls are getting cracked and splitting apart from lots of use. The white sponge stuff is not the best and wears out fast. When they wore out and starting to make a mess in the dryer. I took their product out of the ball and purchased Scotch brand sponges and stuffed them in the balls. They worked better and do not make a mess like the stuff that Mister Steamy uses. However the balls after much use with small dress clothes loads to get wrinkles out which works well are splitting and falling apart. That when I made this purchase. When the white crappy sponges that this product uses starts making a mess. I will use the Scotch brand sponges again they work the best and for a long time.

I just bought my second set.I've been using Mr. Steamy as a dryer ball. I hate using fabric softener because it just smells like chemicals to me. Regular dryer balls don't work unless you use 4 or more.Yes, if they hit against the dryer, it makes noise. This is preferable to me over smelling chemicals on my clothes.I have used it to remove wrinkles. If used according to the directions, it works. Just a little water on the sponge and put in the dryer with the item to be dewrinkled. I doubt it will work for an entire load of clothes.I read a few reviews that the sponge shrinks and they stop working for the purpose intended. I haven't tried it, but I bet any sponge shoved in that hole would work to hold water. But, I rarely use Mr. Steamy to dewrinkle. I have used my 2 balls for about 4 years as a dryer ball, and I am replacing them because the plastic is finally splitting and falling apart. I usually only use 1 ball in the dryer, but during winter months when there is more static electricity, I have to use both.

Surprised to read the few negative reviews. For me, a bachelor who would never iron anything, these are a dream come true. I do my wash and wear pants and shirts in them, and most of the time they are totally wrinkle free. I was amazed the first time I tried it.Occasionally 1 or 2 items in a load are wrinkled and the rest are very wrinkle free, but I've never had a whole load that came out wrinkled. They look like they were ironed.I also have never in using them for 2 years now, ever heard them make a whistling sound as someone said. They make no noise at all, except the expected little clunk occasionally like any hard ball in a dryer would make.I do med high heat, if you don't use enough heat, I guess they won't work, I don't know. I just follow the directions. My clothes are fine, no shrinkage.So I for one highly recommend these things, and just ordered another set. After while, the sponge part inside shrinks gradually and gets too small. So I bought another set.So for what it's worth, this guy gives this product two thumbs up.
