We recently purchased the International Flags 164 Feet 8.2'' x 5.5'' World Flags Pennant Banner for our school’s World Cultures and International Day celebration. I’m stoked with this purchase. These flags are the perfect size to string all along the ceiling for a Paris Olympics 2024 party. The colors are bright, the flags are not flimsy, and they look very impressive when strung.

As you can see from the photos, we chose to string these along the walls of our grandson’s room. It was quite an undertaking. Some flags must be oriented correctly (e.g., those with text). Our grandson loves them. We got them for his 6th birthday — within a few days he knows almost all from memory!! He loves stumping adults.Now his younger brother is jealous and wants us to do the same to HIS room.We fastened them to the Sheetrock by use of thumbtacks spaced about every four flags. Time will tell how resilient this method is with active 5 & 6 year old boys.FYI, larger maps in photos were secured with 3M Command Strips.

These have been hanging in my classroom for two months now. They have held up well being hung from my ceiling and feeling the inevitable tug from the fingers of middle schoolers. That is, when they attempt to reach them and succeed before I catch them, sometimes literally. (No, no one has fallen attempting the tear down my flags...yet.)But they look great! The colors are good, not perfect but they look nice. As a Geography/History teacher, I have noticed some discrepancies in the choosing of flags. Some are not technically “countries.” I have students now going through and “cataloguing” them, labeling them, and creating a visual for the back of my room of which flag belongs to which countries.They are a great entry tool for lessons, a beautiful visual, and welcoming to all who wander into my room.

I was very pleased that the flags came in a very good package. I did not have to iron them flat, like I had to do with other flags. There was also no apparent fraying, but it's too early to tell how they will hold up to the weather. I like to put flags around my garden which helps to keep the deer from jumping in and chewing on things.
