IberaBicycle Seatpost-Mounted Commuter Carrier Rack or Rack and Trunk Bag Combo, Regular Size Rack Only, Regular Size Combo, Compact Size Combo

I've just bought a new electric bicycle and have been busy accessorising. I started off with a crossbar bag and a saddlebag. However, I like to take a decent size Thermos with me plus leggings and tools etc. I didn't want a cluncky rear carrier on the bike as it would spoil the appearance. The seat post rack really works, is very firm and attaches securely, and enhances the look of the bike. I also bought a 10L bag that holds all my kit and it is the perfect solution for recreational rides. There are a number of these racks available but this one has to be the best choice. It's a bit more expensive but very sturdy and easy to attach. The exposed seat-post is only about 8" but the rack sits correctly above the rear mudguard AND the rack is perfectly HORIZONTAL, an important point to consider. Yes that the angle of the seat-post is a factor, but all in all the manufacturer has got it right.

Bought for my hybrid road bike I noted the comments in earlier reviews regarding the angle when fitted but decided to give it a go.It’s simple to fit, just one clamp fastened with one bolt with rubber inserts which I used. Make sure it’s tight enough. It was easy to fit and the angle was perfect. I was tempted to put a spirit level on it but decided that was a step too far. I wondered if I was just lucky to get such a good fit so as I have a road bike and my wife has a touring e bike and a hybrid road bike I tried it on all of those as well. It fit without issues on all of them and the rack sat flat. So it fits a Fuji road bike, Specialized hybrid, Kalkhoff ebike and a Cannondale Hybrid. Finally I have transported my bike on a car bike rack and ridden one ride off road totalling 30 miles. No problems with the rack moving at all. I would recommend this rack. It’s simple, light and looks good as well.

Put this on my electric bike for nipping to the shop. It works well better than a day sack but means you can carry more if you take a day sack as well seems strong enough but would not like to have it stuffed to the gunnels as I’m not sure it would manage. But all in all ideal for a flask and some sarnies and a waterproof.

Quite easy to fit, though you have to be patient to get the alignment with your back wheel correct. It's a useful system: there are a variety of compatible bags and carriers to use. The price is very competitive and the product is well made. I purchased with the largest PakRak I could fit, which is (just) big enough for a 13" laptop. See separate review.

Had to return, because it didn't look right on my Carrera bike. When installed it wasn't level, stuck up at about 20 degrees.
