Looked through the whole book and everything looks fairly easy and quick and good. Am going to cook one tonight after work.

Absolute Must Have for 1or 2!
An Ultimate Must Have for 1or 2!This is an utterly fantastic cookbook for one or two people. Recipes are simple and without exotic or a long list of ingredients. Just simple main stream stuff you likely already have on hand & most have only 7-9 items including the spices! . The majority cook in 30 minutes or less including the 'prep' times (they should put this on the cover!). All recipes are on a full left hand page in large clear type (which at my advanced age i appreciate) and the right hand facing page has a full page color photo of the prepared dish (plus most photos show 'suggested sides' which i like). Just for all the full page color photos alone this book is a major bargain. Again, EVERY recipe is on the left with full page photo on the right. The breakfast items look scrumptious, the salads are unique, look delish & are simple, and well... everything else from soups, to poultry, beef, pork, seafood & side dishes just look fantastic and i can't wait to dive in to most all of these. Been cooking a long time & family calls me a semi-gourmet chef (i'm not really) but these recipes in THIS book will keep my rep going for a long time. Of the 100+ cook books i've amassed, this one just vaulted into the all time top five and i can't say enough about how excited i am to have ordered this book & now have on hand. The Major Con:Their is NO nutritional or recipe calorie information provided. THAT would vaulted this book to ten stars in my opinion and i thought about deducting one star for that, but still overall it's just to great a cookbook not to get 5 stars.PS. I don't "do" Deserts but all the recipes there look fantastic & simple to make if you're into them.If you just cook for 1 or two... like delicious eye appealing simple & quick dishes to make.. i recommend you GET this cookbook!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND, EASY & TASTY!!!
I am absolutely thrilled with this cookbook!!! I am the chef of the household, and stay away from boxed and/or processed food. This book really follows that same “fresh ingredients “ process as well.Typically I cook for 4 adults 5 nights a week. But I am out of town staying in a hotel suite with a full kitchen for a few months due to having a transplant recently. I needed something that would provide servings for 2 people, with little or no leftovers because of the refrigerator size. This cookbook more than serves that purpose.I’ve made about 5 or so recipes from the book so far. The pictures show the Smothered Sicilian Cubed Steak on page 132, the Jamaican Tipsy Chicken on page 100 and Patty’s Blonde Chicken Chili on page 82.Everything thing I’ve made was so delicious!!! The chili did have enough for a second meal for 2 people, but I was ok with that because it was tasty the 2nd time around too!The recipes are easy to make, meaning you don’t need to know a lot of techniques to cook these recipes. Also, each recipe has a full page next to it with a picture of the finished product. (My creations looked just like the book!) There are tips and other suggestions that make it easier to cook. They also give suggestions for side dishes or wine pairings.I loved this cookbook so much that I’ve bought it for my adult daughter.

Beautifully Laid Out, Easy Straightforward Recipes
I will be honest and say I haven't tried any of these recipes yet, but I LOVE the layout of this book.Every recipe has a full color photo with it. I appreciate that the foods are simple traditional foods, not too fancy and fussy. I am planning to try two of the recipes out this week I ordered 3 "cooking for two" cookbooks this week and I must say that out of the three, this one seems the most functional. The other two: Down Home Cooking for One or Two (from Taste of Home), and Cooking for One or Two (also by Taste of Home) have delicious looking recipes, but they look like most of them would take a lot more preparation time and ingredients. Now that it's just the two of us; I don't want to spend a long time in the kitchen cooking.

Can't Go Wrong with Mr Food!
Excellent recipes requiring ingredients one probably already has on hand. I have been a fan of Mr Food cookbooks for quite a few years and find them to use readily available ingredients.I feel I am cooking somewhat healthy as most of the recipes use whole foods and spices. I made the 20 Minute Skillet Goulash which was well-received by my adult son and I enjoyed it as well. The servings were enough for the two of us with enough leftover for lunch the next day. I plan to try the Smothered Sicilian Cubed Steak and the Honey Dijon Roasted Salmon this week. Each recipe is on left side of the page and a beautiful color photo presentation on the right side. Also included are Test Kitchen Tips for some of the recipes as well as serving suggestions and other tidbits dispersed throughout the book. I am very pleased with my purchase and would recommend this cookbook for anyone trying to cook for one or two people.

Great Cooking Book for 2.
This is the first of 2 of these books I have bought. I can’t say enough good about them. I use them almost every day.. I recommend them to all the people I know that cook for one or two. Since I have downsized, and kids leaving home, I got tired of measuring enough food for two and throwing half away. So, I thought I would try this book. This Ultimate cooking book for two cookbook is exactly what I needed. It has help me better manage the food I use so the leftovers are few. The recipes are delicious, easy to prepare, pictures are beautiful.

Good Value
Saw this on QVC - Amazon has a better price however. I think this is a useful cookbook because it specifically gives you the ingredient amounts for small sized recipes. This is really important in baking which make the baking recipes a great value. I don't buy a cake or make one either because they are just too much. The same goes with other items. This is a great start to cooking for fewer people and should also inspire you with other dishes. For convenience there are sometimes listed packaged or processed foods that just make the recipes come together faster, but you can certainly substitute better/healthier alternatives. Nicely put together book. Recommend.
