Money Drunk, Money Sober; 90 Days to Financial Freedom

A GIFT TO YOURSELF
A great gift to give to yourself whether you consider yourself a money drunk or not. What this book did for me is to put to light on anyaddiction you may not even be aware of. To be frank I never considered that I may have become an Internet addict and I was amazed to realizehow much of my precious time I was on Internet instead of creating projects that are much more interesting for myself and for others. Thanks to both authors - you offer in your book simple Tools that can truly benefit people who have Financial challenges, or addictions, or any other habits that are getting in the way of living the kind of life you want.

Useful book still
I didn't find what I was looking for, didn't quite fit into the categories I think.Could really have expanded on the poverty addict section - not all about trying to be virtuous. Sometimes money just equals pain, alienation and/or conflict.I felt the book was dated. Are we really still stuck with these new age concepts like affirmations and spiritual healing? The authors make some good points nonetheless, especially with the AA recovery metaphor. If you or someone you love have problems with compulsive or inappropriate spending, this could set you on a strong path to overcoming them.

Skip ahead to the 90 days section if you have self esteem.
Too many boo hoo stories of people in debt that are not my situation. Once I got to the actual 90 days portion, things were a little better. I could still do without all the write your hopes and dreams down and focus on how to get out of debt and stay out. The last portion of the book was much more helpful on taming bad habits. The beginning of the book is clearly made for low self-esteem boosting. I just needed better buying practices and checks and balance systems to keep me out of debt. Thanks.

Really great. Insightful
Really great. Insightful. Makes a lot of sense. I love The Artist's Way, so I thought Julia Cameron would be my speed. She is and her writing partner and her write thoughtfully and with a great deal of clarity.

Wonderful book explaining our addictive natures to money and how to fix it.

I bought this after finding it recommended in another book
I bought this after finding it recommended in another book. Possibly it isn't for me, since it turns out that my attitude to money is pretty sane. I read it anyway, and there seemed to be some very useful advice there, but it all felt a bit formulaic. If you're always in trouble with money then I'd say give it a go, it may have the insights you are looking for.
