I have purchased these before with no problems. They're pretty straightforward just plug in and hit the switch. My issue with these is that the switch is in the wrong place. The others I have, the switch is closer to the plug, on these, the switch is close (18") to the socket. Which means unless you put them on some sort of timer, you can't 'hang 'em high'! (pun intended). Since I wanted these to be lights near my ceiling, I'll have to switch them out with the others I have to make them truly convenient to use. So if you're using them for table lights or wall sconces, they should be fine. I didn't notice in the description that the switch was close to the socket, that's my mistake. Otherwise, they work fine and are good for the money.

So strong! Got these for my ceiling to hang paper lanterns and they have stuck perfectly! The look great and are pretty unobtrusive which is a plus!Not sure what removal will look like—guessing it might take the paint with it

I got these with the idea that I was going to make my own light fixtures, but I only ever ended up using it as-is. I do have to say that the cord stayed nice and white even though my place gets a lot of dust. It also never broke, even though I often closed the door on it and stepped on the switch (to turn it on and off) daily. It wasn't the most elegant thing in my place, but I was surprised at the quality for how little I paid. My only gripe is that the switch seems to be in an odd place; it seems to be perfectly in the center of the cord, instead of being 3-5 feet from the plug. I'm assuming most people have the cord lifted up the wall, if this were lifted the switch would be near the ceiling, rather than chest height (like most switches). I'm a heathen and just leave it dragging on the ground, with the light-bulb end just dangling from a hook in the ceiling. This leaves the cord piled up, and the switch laying on the ground, if I tap it with my foot it works really good for turning it on-and-off. It still seems kind of poorly thought out though.

Only draw back is the switch is only a foot or so from the plug. Only reason I didnt give it 5 stars.Great for the price.
