Q: should i buy this or tech toc? i swim laps only for exercise( non competitive) but do not rotate hips much so speed is slow. male 59

I don't remember how tech toc works, but I think it's not a bad idea to try this hydro hip out, considering that it's much cheaper than hiring a coach, or it's better than trying your luck to join some swimming classes. I've used hydro hip a couple of times, and honestly it's not as easy to use as described in the video. Hydro hip does not only require you to roll your waist, but also to have the right timing of your strokes as you shouldn't touch the blades on the sides when using this tool correctly. For the rolling part, I did feel that I rolled my waist more than I had done before, but for the timing of my strokes, it will definitely take time for me to do it successfully. So, in short, I think it would be an effective tool. It's just that you need to be patiently think how you should modify the timing of the rolling & the strokes. Hope this helps.
