Q: Can this be used on Verizon?

Yes I just got it for my son and we have verizon. Save yourself the $35 transfer fee and do it yourself. I did not go through Verizon for the data transfer. What I did was right before I even turned the new phone on I took the Sim card out of my old phone and put it in the new one. Once I started setting up the new phone with the Sim card inside, it gave me the option to transfer the data from my old phone using thevSamsung app. Once I installed the app on my old phone, the two phones connected wirelessly and the data transfered from my old phone to the new one

Hi yes device is unlocked, for metro you do need to call customer service to update the IMEI, otherwise it won’t work.
