a safe wet food for cats with food allergies and sensitive tummies, no Carrageenan or quality control irregularities!
In my experience, this product is awesome times 1000 for cats with sensitive tummies, food allergies, etc. We have two shelter kitties, Siamese, from different shelters. Both have sensitivities, one more serious than the other. He developed bloody mucus stool and thin fur spots eating anything but the limited ingredient kitten food he had been eating at the shelter, so we put him back on it. When the kitten food wasn't the best option any longer (too fattening and he is older), we got him on a grain free potato duck kibble from the same maker- so far so good, at month 3. Every high end wet food we tried, however, was a failure until this one. The other cat, a total gobbler, LOVES wet food. Most of the high end limited ingredient brands still have carrageenan (sp?) in them. I am not a vet, but I have read some nasty articles on this (coagulative) additive. Maybe that is the issue that kept getting in our way with the other limited ingredient brands. I can't say. Weruva was one of very few I found that did not have it. I can't exaggerate how many hours I looked and looked, at online pet food sites, in all the local stores, at reviews everywhere. Our first buy was the small 3 oz or so cans, and they were mostly meat with a little broth, definitely more meaty with gravy than soupy with meat. In any case, both of my cats love it, and can eat it without problems. It's literally the cleanest wet food I have found, without boiling free range no hormone chicken and adding the needed kitty vitamins and such to it. I am extremely grateful to have found this food. If it remains like my first batch, this will be the wet cat food I will keep buying for the next decade. My little gobbler likes it so much I have to leave the room to fill the dishes before I put them down. This is the only wet food I have been able to give my cats without incident, and it's meaty and awesome. That was the small cans. Now, I am trying the larger ones.

It's named "paw lickin' chicken" for a reason...
I've had Weruva's Paw Lickin' Chicken under subscribe and save for many years. They're a family owned business, and their high quality cat food is human grade, with real chicken. The price per can is a bit pricier in comparison to other brands however the logic is that you're investing in the well being of your pet which means potentially less health issues and most importantly a longer life. My cat loves this stuff, next to feeding her actual chicken - I haven't found a comparable alternative with pate or chicken chunks. My only gripe, is that some cans are less chicken heavy than others and normally I wouldn't notice except she will finish the meal in 1/2 the time and come complaining when she's not full!

This food put my cat in diabetic remission!
My eleven year old cat had been recently diagnosed with diabetes, and the vet said she would need insulin for the rest of her life. When I got that diagnosis, I went from having her on what I thought was an okay brand to running to the pet store and looking for a brand more specific for diabetic cats. The nice girls at the pet store said their manager recommended this food. I wasn’t sure if she would like it, but I bought eight cans. I was serious about trying to get her in remission or at least reduce her dose (she was on three units of insulin twice a day). I also reduced feeding her three times a day, twice a day, and only this food. After a few days, her blood sugar went from 347 to 90 (with the insulin and change in food). Suddenly, her blood sugar was TOO low. I immediately ordered a case of food on Amazon. We reduced the insulin to one unit twice a day, and her glucose came back up but still low. After a month of feeding her this, and doing eight glucose tests, she is officially in remission!!! No insulin at all, and I started giving her other flavors (since she was getting tired of eating this flavor every day). When I tell you this cat was so happy to eat this food, I mean it. She’s usually very agreeable, but I’ve never actually seen her so happy and energetic, to the point where she’s rolling on the floor in gratitude after eating this food. I can’t thank Weruva enough. I wish I would have known about it years ago. I highly recommend!

My cat loves it!
We recently had to switch to soft food vs. dry kibble as in his older age our little "Akira" has decided nope, he is only into wet food now (lol). That said, he loves this one especially and inhales it when it's feeding time :-). Smells like real people food and seems to have all the good stuff he loves.

My cats liked this food - though it seemed that a large part was water. I'll probably buy it again though - it looks like real chicken bits.
