If you have ever felt that you don't get enough smoke flavor out of your pellet grill, this helps. There are plenty of others on the market, but I have had good experiences with Kingsford products, and I wasn't disappointed. It is fairly easy to use, but it does take a little patience to get the pellets lit. I used a butane lighter, one of those with a long reach, and it worked fine.

We have the Weber Q1200 which is a smaller propane grill. Space for grilling is at a premium. We had ordered a rectangular wood chip box which took up too much space and was hard to start. This 8 inch smoker tube is perfect. Refer to attached photo (yes, I know grill needs cleaning - carne asada first then cleaning!). Easy to light, and lasts long enough to last the BBQing process. Good amount of smoke, perfect size. The description says it for smoke pellets but I don't have any. I used hickory wood chips which worked perfectly

Nice smoker. If using pellets, you cannot fill all the way, leave room to lay down. No way to keep them from falling out when you lay it down. Small size and didn't provide enough smoke to smoke a few racks of ribs. I had to refill it a couple times.

This seems to last about 6 hours when full. I have used it for pork shoulder, bacon, salmon and beef chuck. I have a vertical smoker that only produces light smoke at best. This smoke tube has added a ton of flavor to my barbecue.

Simple and easy to use.

The instruction says filling the smoking tube with pellets up to 1 inch from the top open, then lighting the pellets from the open. In my practice, if I fill it to that level, limited air can enter into the tube then a few pellets can burn and the rest will be wasted. My tips to use it: 1. You do need a torch, not a lighter. Because constant and force litting is required to light the pellets. 2. Don’t fill the tube too much. Fill it to about 1/3 height when vertical so when putting it flat the air is sufficient. 3. I recommend putting it flat on the grate then using the torch to heat the pellets from the outside until most pellets are burning. 4. I don’t have a better idea than blowing the fire down but be careful when doing this. 5. As this is an accessory to a grill, I don’t use it until I have finished grilling the meat. I put the prepared tube flat on the grate then cover the lid of the grill. Open the air hole and wait for 20 minutes or longer. The smoky taste will be ready then.

Love this! If you do any grilling/smoking you should consider this tube. I've used it to cold smoke cheese - remember Hickory Farms Smoked Cheddar? Homemade beats it hands down! I've used it to add extra smoke on a low & slow cook and it worked just as well. The shape keeps it from rolling around, the open top makes it easy to fill and light and the volume of smoke is impressive.

Das Ding ist super, habe damit tolle Räucherchilli im Weber gemacht. Das Holz muss nur schön trocken sein, ich habe die Späne im Backofen bei 150°C vorgetrocknet, dann glühen selbst grobe Stücke in einer Stunde durch das Gerät hier.

Works great, a full tube is about 4hrs of smoke. I fill them with wood pellets.
