At the very least it doesn't stain your teeth black.First thing i thought of when I saw charcoal and then squeezed a bit out.The charcoal acts as a mild abrasive. Toothpaste is already mildly abrasive so this adds on to it.Think of this has hippie crest 3d white.There may be some efficacy to the tea tree oil with regards to gingivitis. Some RCT studies have found a benefit. Take that with a grain of salt as you do not know how much tea tree oil is in each gob of toothpaste. Think of it as flavoring unless otherwise noted.It does have a bit of a sandy texture, most likely due to abrasiveness provided via the charcoal. it isn't unpleasant however. When you squeeze a bit out it is a light black color. Doesn't leave any of that color on your teeth however.What I don't like is the sodium fluoride. Don't get me wrong, I only brush with toothpastes with fluoride but I normally use stannous fluoride aka tin fluoride which is found in other toothpastes, mostly the sensitive toothpaste varieties like crest gumcare. Sodium fluoride tends to dry my mouth out. I have dry month in general but there is a marked difference between sodium and stannous fluoride in my experience.All in all, not bad, might help a bit more than other normal grocery market toothpastes but the jury is out if it really is much different in practice.

This is the best toothpaste ever! I love the way it cleans and freshens my whole mouth. My teeth are definitely whiter and my mouth feels so clean after using this toothpaste. Love it!

I used the powder charcoal and it’s too messy and it takes a long time to rinse this add toothpaste then a tad in it! Enough to suffice it does work~ nice taste. I could see a difference immediately in the white charcoal effect as using the charcoal before. Great fresh taste.

I’ve never had whitening toothpaste ever seem like it’s really doing anything but I’ve actually had people ask me what I do to keep my teeth so white. At first I attributed it to my sonicare toothnrush but I’ve used that for years and not gotten the comments so my new conclusion is it’s the toothpaste! My daughter started using it and I’ve now seen her teeth getting noticeably whiter too. Love the taste and dentist approved it so I’m officially a fan!

this product works pretty quickly after a couple weeks of use. You don't need much on your toothbrush either.
