I seldom write reviews but this deserves one. I have a new puppy in the house going through potty training. He is in the teething and destruction phase and one of the things he likes to rip up are the pee pads. The older dogs were not amused. Even inside a pee pad tray he would find a way to pick it out and run all over the house with a trail of paper behind him. This tray got rid of that problem. No more paper pads, no more chewing. For small dogs it is very large and easy for them to circle around on. The grass patch is good quality. Its soft and comfortable. At first I thought my dog was going to think I got him a new bed since he kept laying on it or rolling on his back on it. I thought perhaps I wasted my money on a glorified grass bed. He soon caught on it was meant for his pee and poo. The pee directly drains down into the tray and the poop is easy picked up. Even if it was runny poo the mat is easy to clean with a spray hose either directly on the tray or separately.

This was the perfect accessory for my home with me being gone a lot working two jobs! My little girl really thought it was grass and would use it when she needed to go potty or Pooh before I got home! It is very easy to clean. I would just take it outside and hose it down using a small amount a vinegar and Dawn dish dishwashing liquid, but you could also clean it in the tub as well! These are a little pricey, but well worth the money

Very nice quality. It didn’t smell bad, super functional. And the design was nice. It would be very easy to use although the size of it was very small and my large dog could not use it due to the fact that it was way too small

I understand the concept behind this and while it’s a great idea, the material is cheap I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone with a chewer my French bulldog loves to rip his pads so I thought I’d give it a shot. Not even a hour of having it the stitching was demolished he’s a puppy still but for them to say that it won’t tear from the seams is a joke. If I didn’t try to come up with some alternatives to keep it in place another issue, I would return the item unfortunately I drilled holes to hold it down and glue but either way it wasn’t helping since the seams were trashed . The pad doesn’t come with any sort of holding clips or mounts so it was a huge waste of $70 but if your dog doesn’t chew and will simply go and get off and won’t toss it or anything maybe I’d recommend

The removable pee tray is very convenient instead of dumping the entire collection area. The grass pad is great in that it drains well. However I wish they made this with a chew deterrent as my dog likes to eat grass (even fake grass). It's also overpriced. Design flaws: the wall barrier is great but my dog wants to enter perpendicular to the wall barrier: making him miss his urine sometimes. Perhaps a square design would be more useful. A design improvement suggestion: put a small half wall on the side opposite of the pee barrier wall: to encourage entrance parallel to the pee barrier wall. I put up some cardboard wall to do something similar. Another design improvement idea: Velcro is your best friend, use it. I added some Velcro pads to the bottom of the grass pad and the top of the pee collection part. Now the grass pad doesn't slide around.

Lol this might be inappropriate but I had to share. I bought a faux grass mat without the base and he used to just sit in it and lounge. This one on the other hand, he loves using. He recently got neutered and I thought we needed something that didn't distract him too much going out. Then it got really cold in Austin, and this has been a life saver. He actually uses it to pee and poop. Apologizes, I only got one of him pooping. I've been reinforcing a lot with treats and he already knew to ring bells by the door when needing to go out so this didn't take long to work. Good potty, treat and constant pointing at it and saying, potty works!

The pad works well with drainage and i like having the tray i can empty and clean vs. pee pads. However, the smell is worse than I've had with any other type of pee pads. I've cleaned the grass and tray, but within 2 days the smell returns. Going to order a different type of grass to use and see if it works better.

Great quality for a plastic box; by far the best we’ve seen thus far which is the main reason we purchased it. The artificial grass is ok but we are not using it as we have a rubbery green pad that’s washable in the washing machine which we’ve been using for a while now and our puppy seems to like it so we’ll stick to it. As you’ll see from the picture we’re still using the training pads as they save us time in having to clean our tray (they are tucked away under the rubbery grass). To summarize, we’ve purchased this set for the plastic tray and as far as we are concerned it’s worth it. Would definitely recommend it.

My two Havanese dogs won't use this, despite my having put a little pee on the mat to get them started. Maybe you've got to start your dog from puppyhood, or have one of those Mensa-type dogs like a Border Collie.
