LABOYHMK3101 Glass Chemistry Lab Glassware Distillation Kit 24/40 Distilling Apparatus (Pack of 15)

Like everything else I have ordered from Laboy, this arrived intact and with all parts. The only part that seems dodgy is the thermometer adapter, as the threads do not mesh quite as well as one might hope, but if you pay attention it fits, and in my case maintained vacuum without issue. I have other products by Laboy so yes I will paste this into those for which it applies.

Looks like pretty good quality glassware there’s a few bubbles here and their glass joints are a little bit rougher than usual especially on the tips that protrude into the flasks. Seems like the angle on the distillation head is off saw several drops dripping off of the thermometer back into the pot had to raise the temperature is way higher than I would’ve liked to in order to get stuff to raise into the distillation head.

The ad is misleading. Had I not had issues with the missing items, I would have given 5 stars.

High quality but miss plug of one of orifices

Thermometer adaptor arrived with the wrong gasket. I'll have to wait another 3 weeks for a replacement. Glass ware arrived ok. Appears to be high quality but should come with a plug for the double neck flask in case the thermometer doesn't fit the gasket

Typically for a small single stage distillation like this you would use a single necked flask for the pot. The picture is also misleading on the assembly and what parts are being received. I can't tell if the thermometer provided has the proper taper to fit the 10/18 head fitting of the distillation head and is there a plug to fit the 24/40 joint on the 250 mL pot or do I need to have a second thermocouple and o-ring to slide into the provided fitting.

It works great for a first time user

Glassware broke during first use. Very poorly made joints in the distillation head 😢
