We were introduced to pickle ball while visiting my in-laws. Our family liked the sport so much that we wanted to purchase a set for us. This was an inexpensive set. My family ranges from 10 to 19 years old with us parents being in our 40's. It's a really good starter set. Paddles are solid wood. They are not too heavy in my hand. The children seem to do well with them. I was kind of worried about getting wood paddles as the one we used at my in-laws was heavy. It was a bit larger than these paddles. It's a great family set. The only thing that I've had wrong with it is the grip. The grip is not very sticky and has separated. This did not affect play but is an eyesore.

After attending a free pickleball clinic recently, my fiance and I were hooked! I searched stores nearby and couldn't find any reasonably priced pickleball equipment to get us started playing on our own, so I decided to check amazon. So glad I grabbed this set.Pros:▪Good quality, sturdy racquets▪Highly visible neon green balls which are easy to see in any level of lighting▪Great value for the price (2 racquets and 4 balls)Cons:▪Wrist strap can be annoying (I might cut this off)▪Not sure how durable the balls will be over time (they were quite scuffed up and dented after one evening of play)All in all, I do recommend this set for beginners. Glad I purchased it and I might buy a second set to invite friends along to play doubles.

Ideal for the purpose as a recent player of the game and would say excellent value for money although the handle has started to come apart.
