Looks great but make sure you order the right size!
Looks great but make sure you order the right size!I had located the code for my window in the top frame and having read the item description automatically assumed you only needed the first three letters (ie GPL etc) to be a suitable match so thought it would fit my window. Please note you also need the next three set of digits as well (i.e. C02 or C04 or M06 etc (sorry if stating the obvious, just hoping others won't make the same mistake I did when ordering in a hurry)). As such I ordered a blind which was too small (C02 rather than M06) and had to send it back and order the larger size. However, the original blind arrived quickly, looked easy to assemble and of good quality. I just wish I had taken the time to check and make sure I ordered the right size first time around.

Great quality, pity about being the wrong colour
SO easy to fit - really accurately sized and well made. Not sure what other reviewers are talking about when they say it doesn't block out all the light - it really does and it has a soft rubber seal at the bottom to make sure that it even deals with the little bit at the bottom. I would have really happily given the blind 5 stars, and it deserves them for the quality, design, function and any other aspect. The reason it only got 3 stars is because I ordered it in pewter and received a white(ish) one, complained and got a new (which was bizarrely delivered from Milan, Italy despite saying it's a UK seller) which turned up in the same not-quite-white colour. I have to say that Amazon was brilliant about it and I agreed to keep it after a pretty good discount. Fantastic product - if you get what you asked for.Just as a footnote; the colour really isn't worth paying for anyway because you virtually never see it - it's either rolled up or it's dark.

Really very good!
Friend that has Velux with Velux branded blinds saw these ones that I installed on my windows and pronounced then far superior! Having never seem Velux branded blinds I can't comment. What I do know is they took about 60 seconds to install each one and they look like they were meant to be there.Very close to blackout with only minor light leakage at the bottom. I doubt you could get better. The blind is sprung. You pull the base of the blind and it stays where it's needed. To release it you simply push the handle and the blind retracts. Couldn't be easier. Will now be ordering 4 more for the remaining rooms, just as soon as they come back into stock!(BTW, the screws are taped to the inside of the corrugated cardboard box)Cannot fault.

Dangerous! Does not stay in place.
Bought to go in new loft extension. Initially it was very easy to install and it looked great. We were quite pleased we had managed to save some money. Unfortunately it only lasted 3 day’s then the top section came crashing down at 3.30am pulling the 2 side bars with it, taking chunks of our newly plastered walls with It and damaging the frames of the window. Horrified at the thought of what might have happened had we positioned our bed under the window! Really not worth buying to save a few pounds. We immediately ordered a genuine Velux blind which has stayed put and fortunately covers the damaged parts of the window. This blind is not safe, it is heavy and does not stay put. Spend some extra and buy a genuine Velux blind!

Cheaper than Velux's own
It's cheaper than the Velux version, and doesn't share the design flaw of cords which rub and fray.It was very easy to install - almost thought they'd forgotten the screws but found them taped to the packaging. The blackout effect is pretty much complete except a glimmer at the bottom. However it takes up more room within the window frame than the Velux own version, so a little less light gets in when open.

Excellent
I bought two of these to replace the original Velux blinds. The Velux springs for rewinding (10 years old) had got tired. I decided to give these a try as replacements. These blinds make a very close copy of the Velux, are easier to fit, and way cheaper to buy.The major difference in operation is that the Velux pull up and down simply by gripping the bottom bar. These blinds also have a bottom bar, but to pull them up and down you have to push the bottom bar in towards the glass then move them. Someone used to the straight up and down Velux procedure would think these had jammed, - until they pushed the bar in and then moved them.

Good blinds
Bought these because of the video that shows a simple installation.First off no screws came with the blinds.Found the installation not as easy, top but was easy but the side bits were a pain. I finally got one side in with a bit of brute force once in the other side when it easier. Once in I’m really pleased with it does a good job of keeping the light out.

Arrived fast and fits m04 windows perfectly
Arrived very quickly and fits our m04 windows perfectly. The edges of the trim cover the edge of the blind so they are near perfect blackout in all but the brightest sunlight. Just a thin line at the bottom where the foam seal lays against the wood.Be careful ordering from amazon warehous though as we got two different couors in spite of ordering two cream. Wont complain at that saving though
