Do NOT pick it up by the Handle! It's just for looks, and can't hold it's own weight empty.
Do NOT hold it by the Handle! It's just for looks, and can't hold it's own weight when empty. I bought 4 of these for our wedding. Spent 2 days painting the metal gold and doing a mercury glass glaze on them. Picked the first one up by the handle to move it to a safe place to wait for our big day, and BOOM. Handle popped right off the screw that holds it in place, tray drops straight to the floor, bottom piece shatters, and then there was glass EVERYWHERE. They're ok if you pick them up by the bottom glass, walk with them with your hand under the base, and stabilize with the handle piece. They're not the most stable stands when on a table, but for the low price, I kinda got what I paid for.

NOT WORTH THE TROUBLE OR THE MONEY
I don't like writing negative reviews, but this product was so flimsy I had to let people know not to waste their money. The materials used in the plates were fine, but the metal core that holds the pieces together didn't have a tight fit which compromised the entire structure. I took it apart three times to reconstruct the pieces but it was never steady and leaned to one side and it wobbled. I would have been embarrassed serving desserts on that stand.

Broke when picked up
Simple story - put small & light sandwiches on all levels. Picked up by handle to move. Item broke and the bottom two trays shattered on the floor putting glass shards all over the food. Wife was a bit agitated as she spent a lot of time prepping for the event.

Poor quality
The FIRST time I used this, the part that screws in popped out which means you can't pick it up by the handle anymore or tighten it. Read the reviews and it seems a few people are having this issue. It also came with no instructions whatsoever which made things tricky at first. Both seem like things they could've fixed easily but instead choose to ignore customer reviews. Bad customer service

The stand worked beautifully for what we needed it for
The stand worked beautifully for what we needed it for. Two things you should probably be aware of: 1) There are no assembly instructions. It's not hard to figure out, especially if you reference the picture included with the online description of the item, but if you are mechanically challenged in that way, be warned. 2) The item comes in a plain, unmarked box. (Not the shipping box, the actual storage box for the item itself.) And it's possible that while you are using the assembled display stand, your husband, helpful though he may be, could throw away the box it comes in because he thinks it's trash; ask me how I know. (When I say the box is unmarked, I mean there is absolutely NOTHING printed on the box whatsoever identifying what it is.) So... just be conscious of that because when it comes time to pack up that stand for storage, you're REALLLLY going to miss the styrofoam needed to fully protect it.
