Clean Beauty

This is a beautifully presented and informative book, and will appeal to anyone with an interest in making their own cosmetics.There are some simple recipes - such as a coffee scrub using used coffee grounds and olive oil - and some more expensive ones such as a lip balm where you will need to buy (sometimes quite pricy) ingredients online (I did not have a problem finding these on Amazon).All products I have made so far have worked well and been a lot of fun to make.

Loved looking through this - its a gift so I havent done any of then but they look easy enough and use common ingredients. This will be perfect for my friend

Really love the ethos behind this but some of the recipes call for quite expensive unusual ingredients that are hard to source. That said I love the finished products and accessibility of a book that teaches you how to make them.

I started becoming interested in natural beauty several years ago, switching my skincare products to organic. However, I only realised fairly recently that it was really possible (and not as hard as you may think) to make your own organic products at home. In my trawling through google and Pinterest I found Elsie and Dominika's website "clean beauty co" and was immediately absorbed. So when I saw on Amazon they were bringing out a book, I was thrilled and immediately pre-ordered it. It does not disappoint; I absolutely love it and am more inspired than ever. Lots of helpful information and fabulous recipes. A huge variety with so many to choose from; and some easier that others, as is to be expected. If you are a fan of natural (and organic) beauty then this is an absolute must buy. And do visit their website. It is great. I am so taken I am planning on taking an organic skincare formulation course!

This book gives astonishing insights into which foods can be used to make cosmetics that really work and make a difference to your skin and hair texture. It is also fun creating the products, however, making savings should not be your focus as it is about level to spendings on conventional good quality products.
