Impressed with this! Took about half an hour to put together and seems sturdy enough! Wanted to buy just one as a tester to see the quality, but not have 2 more in my basket to sit side by side :D

For the price this is a nice looking, reasonably sturdy bookcase that is very straightforward to assemble. It was missing one of the screws and some of the plastic caps that cover the screws so I contacted the seller and received a very prompt response from Hailey. The replacement parts arrived in the post a short time later. Excellent service.

This was a repeat purchase as I liked the first one so much! It came promptly and was well-packaged. It was very easy to build, using just 16 self-tapping screws, and the back panels slotted in rather that being held on with tacks, which in my experience always pull out. I built the unit, lifted it on top of a chest of drawers and filled it with books within an hour, and I'm a 75 year old woman! Very good value, although the second one was £4 dearer than the first

Perfectly matches a desk and cupboard bought many years ago in MFI! Very, very pleased with it! Good that it has deep shelves as well.

It took me a while to put together as I have mobility problems but looks great and very sturdy. Back panels are not solid wood but the shelves and the rest of the bookcase are. I would definitely recommend it

Like many others who have reviewed this bookcase, mine arrived damaged. The box had several holes in it and one corner was crushed. The damage to the bookcase however, was manageable (one splintered corner) and as I needed it straight away a bit of wood glue and some clamps at least secured it. However, once assembled I found an issue I hadn't spotted previously. The bookcase is designed to have another bookcase stacked on top, and in the fixings included are metal rods which locate into holes on the top of the bookcase to add stability when two are put together. However, these holes have been drilled at both ends of the bookcase (top and bottom) and so whether you like it or not, you end up with four holes in the top of your bookcase. Not what I asked for, albeit a cosmetic issue. The manufacturer provides contact details for replacements. I will be doing this and will add more when I get a response.Update.Using the information sheet included with the bookcase, I contacted the manufacturer with a couple of pictures of the damage. They were very helpful and actually replaced the whole bookcase without wanting the original item back. Overall excellent customer service, only down side was the replacement also had holes drilled top and bottom, but this is a minor cosmetic issue as mentioned previoulsy.
