After searching options for too long, we chose this because it could be set up for almost 8 inches high, way higher than others. That height is critical when opening the screen because it is much closer to proper ergonomic eye height. It saves your neck over time. The sturdiness is important. After setting it up, we didn't want it to shake or slowly slide down. It is a rock. With mid-size and larger laptops, the base needs to hold it securely. This one has its arms spaced very well to keep 14"-17" screen laptops safely cradled. Check where the vents are on your laptop. No not cover them with your stand. This stand props the laptop up above the stand so that vents can have complete airflow. The laptop is even happier than if it was on a flat surface. It will prevent over-heating, keep performance up and make the computer last longer. This $25 solution was priced competitively also. It will hold up for many years. 100% worth the money. I looked at several risers for my laptop and settled on this one because of the sleek, simple and compact design and the adjustability. So far it’s working out great and is easy to adjust and very sturdy. It is a little tricky to put together just because the screws are so small, but directions were easy to follow.

Happy with this stand. It is a well-made, strong, metal stand that has no problem holding my laptop even while I'm typing on it. It was great to get rid of the pile of books I was using to raise the laptop' and amazing how much space it suddenly felt I had on my desk. I am tall, so my laptop camera is far below my eye level for virtual meetings; plus, I prefer the screen higher in every day use so I'm not looking down so much. I set this stand at its lowest level for normal use & raise it for some virtual uses. I gave it 4 stars, instead of 5, only because it's a little awkward with the tilt it has, a bit heavy, and is a little weird when typing with the slight tilt. Photos show what it looks like without the laptop from top and back; and what it looks like with the laptop. The knob in back is how height is adjusted. It's a simple: loosen the knob and pull up the arms.

This laptop stand is a neck/life-saver! I opened the box and found the instructions very easy to follow and i was able to assemble it in 10 minutes. The material feels sturdy and reliable. The prongs hold my M1 Macbook pro 14 inch without an issue (my laptop also has a plastic shell and it still has room). The height is easily adjustable with the knob at the back, which many other stands don't have. I am super happy with this stand so far! Even though it's my first day with it, I can already feel my ergonomics change. I was previously looking down at the screen for hours a day, but now I am able to see my screen at eye level with the help of this stand. I can also put a keyboard right below it. Definitely worth trying out if you work from home!

This is a great laptop stand. It was very easy to put together and it seems pretty sturdy. It raises my laptop up the perfect amount, so I no longer have to tilt my neck downwards to look at the screen. Please do note though, that you will have to get an external (perhaps wireless?) keyboard and mouse in order to use your laptop with this stand. I suppose you could type with the laptop keyboard on the stand, but it would be very awkward. Additionally, I should mention that this stand puts the laptop at somewhat of a tilt, which I did not expect. But to me this doesn't matter - I can see the raised screen clearly, and that is all that matters. All and all very happy with this affordable and sturdy product. Would recommend. So glad I purchased this laptop stand. I am able to use my monitors for work and my personal laptop (using this laptop stand) and use as a second source of information. The stand is adjustable and easy to use and provides excellence visuals for when using my laptop's webcam for meetings.

Well made product. As soon as I received it, I got it together withing 2 mins! It could be shorter if I wasn't trying to inspect every pieces! They provide you with the tool to put it together and extra pair of screws in case you loose one. I placed my wife's laptop on it and withing few mins the temperature dropped! My wife loves it and she appreciates it more because she can adjust the height! Is well made, stirdy, looks good, adjustable and it helps with the cooling! Highly recommend it!

My first impression after setting this up is very positive. It has a nice tilt that keeps the laptop keyboard clearly visible. The stand elevates the screen to a good eye level, and the adjustment mechanism on the back is easy to use. While there is very minimal wobble, it is acceptable to me because the unit feels strong overall. The silicone pads on the edges hold the laptop securely in place. What I like most is the open design. The gap in the holder allows for excellent airflow, and the empty space underneath allows me to position my external keyboard comfortably for my hands.

This is a quality stand for the price. Forget the fancy “Twelve South” stands or those priced over £50. This stand is minimal, robust and excellent quality. * Very solid and good quality materials * Height adjustable only, no tilt - but that’s enough for my needs. * I’ve not had the stand wobble much nor it collapse for any reason. The height is exactly where I’ve set it for the past few months. * Very easy to assemble. * Has rubberised padding so it doesn’t scratch your laptop * Rubberised feet to prevent slipping. * Fits both 14” and 16” MacBook Pros * No massive branding or name, which I like - nice and minimal. * Laptop doesn’t slid off because it has the lip on the edge. * Looks like the new design has a hollow design, where as I have the older flat design.
