A three day trip of swimming, hiking, camping, did a bad number on my hair. It was essentially a massive, single dread that reeked of campfire. This would have required many painful hours of tedious combing and brushing or a massive hair cut. I absolutely love Mane Detangler as within 25 minutes of spraying, separating with fingers, using a wide tooth comb before brushing, my hair is saved. Do this carefully, as the spray can make the floor or shower tub extremely slick. It can be used on dry hair, which is great, as when my hair was in the before condition, wetting it would have made it worse. I would recommend this to anyone with challenging hair, or an animal caregiver who has challenging fur.I have also used this product on our two dogs when they get briar stickers all over them, I feed them treats while I spray the pet fur brush with the detangler, not directly on the dogs as they move too much, and get the briars out very easily that way.

Disclaimer: I'm not a horse nor do I have thick mane like a horse. None of the detangler worked for my chemically damaged hair that was so brittle and frizzy it would break off as I struggle to brush through. As luck had it that I stumbled upon on this product here on Amazon and I thought why not treat my hair like an unruly pet that it was? In case it didn't work, I could always use it on my dog.But it worked like magic! It makes the hair completely manageable and easy to brush through. Now my hair feels lighter, straighter, and softer. With every step I take, I can feel the wind in my hair and I have an urge to gallop like a horse upon a meadow in paradise! And I'm too selfish to share it with my little mutt.

I got this to use on my long-haired great pyrenees mix dog, to help get a comb through his tail and "pantaloons" that tend to get very tangled (picture from before grooming included to show you what I'm working with; it's basically like a horse's mane on a dog's butt!). It works okay, but not as well as I'd hoped. Definitely not a miracle. It helped smooth the rest of his fur and make him less staticky when I brushed him, but then his back fur got a crazy cowlick, so I'm not sure if that's better! It did cut down grooming time a tad on his elbow fluff, which I'm sure he appreciated. I tried it on my own curly hair, and when I really drenched it with the detangler, I had a better result than on the dog. I've used much better human detanglers, though. It doesn't leave that "slick" conditioner feeling, which might be a plus to some people, but which I prefer. It also has a fairly neutral smell, which is nice (no perfume). Overall, I'm not super impressed, but not disappointed enough to return it. I'd warn anyone using it on tile or other hard floor that if it gets on the floor, it makes it EXTREMELY slippery, even after it's dried, so be sure to wipe any up that gets on the floor!

Awesome price for product. I normally buy locally in an 8oz bottle for 5.99 therefore so happy to find this on Amazon. I use this in my daughters curly hair as its very kinky. After searching and using several other detanglers, not only is it the best I have ever used but it leaves her hair conditioned as well without breakage. Couldn't be happy with price as well as product
