Perfect fit for a 2005 Ford focus

I needed a new bonnet release and going to a dealership garage they were going to charge me £90 for a new one. This was a fraction of the price. It was for a Focus mk 2 2006 model. It arrived early and in excellent condition. I would highly recommend this to a friend.

This was the second lock I was buying, 1st was completely rubbish broke within a month, buy it was plastic and flimsy. THIS HOWEVER FELT STURDY STRAIGHT FROM THE PACK, WAS EASY TO INSTALL. MY NEIGHBOUR DID IT FOR ME AND IT'S STILL WORKING FINE 2 MONTHS ON.

Pretty much identical to the original part. Perfect fit. Fairly easy to fit with a couple of screwdrivers and a spanner (no special tools required) - only took 15 mins tops. Saved myself a few quid by doing it myself plus the satisfaction of a job well done.

The old bonnet catch on our old 2005 Focus was starting to fail. After taking it out I could see that the barrel had seized and the whole mechanism was just twisting in the mounting. Fortunately I managed to get bonnet open - having had this problem the last few times of opening I daren't risk shutting the bonnet again and ordered this part. For once in car maintenance life, this was a quick job. On replacement you realise how easy it should be to open the bonnet! Well worth changing if you are starting to find it difficult to open your lid - do it before it fails altogether.

I bought this as the questions showed it fits an 09 C-Max but it’s too short (25.5 version) by about 10mm but it done the job. You can still use the key to unlock the bonnet. Plus side, my original key still works so don’t need the ones that come with it but will keep them as a just in case.
