Perfect solution, easy to use
After our guests left, I noticed that the box springs had slipped inside the metal bed frame on one side of the bed. My husband and I were going to get slats cut at the hardware store, but I saw this and decided that this would be a much simpler solution to try. The package arrived within a few days, we unrolled the slats and placed it on the frame (we ordered fabric covered slats) and it is working perfectly! The bed is now supported properly by the frame and I think that the bed is a little more comfortable with the added support. Such a relief to have a problem solved so easily.

Definitely supporting
In my case it is being used to go vertical across horizontal metal supports on a platform queen frame. It feels more solid than using a very thin sheet of plywood. The sheet slid around on the metal frame whereas this product doesn’t. I did buy the sheet of gripper plastic (goes under rugs) but it really is unnecessary. My mattress is a Select Comfort and the box that normally goes under the mattress was too high.

Great but...
It works great for what I need it for. But I need to figure out how to fasten it so that it doesn't slide!

This product saved my husband & I - for real!
After moving my husband and I purchased a new platform bed frame to use with our beloved Purple mattress. Fast forward one week after setting everything up & we were both suffering from sciatica & severe back pain.Perhaps, I need to elaborate as I don’t think either descriptor quite captures the excruciating pain we both found ourselves in. My husband actually ended up missing three days from work & resorting to using crutches because the pain was so debilitating he wasn’t able to walk or stand without support. This is a man that doesn’t ever miss a day of work. EVER!As we lay discussing our shared ailments it dawned on me that maybe the culprit was our new bed frame. Honestly, how could it be, though? We were still using our expensive Purple mattress from before & it’s not like our previous bed frame was anything to write home about. It was a cheap platform frame from IKEA. Still so, I hated the thought of having to search for another bed frame since I loved the appearance of the new one so much. It was also a platform styled frame with the wooden slats built into the frame. I thought this was be a great bonus given our other bed had to be adjusted often given the slats weren’t attached, & instead laid recessed into the frame. We have two wild Boston Terriers that beleive our bed is their personal trampoline which, in turn, resulted in a constant shifting of the slats.Though, sure enough, upon closer inspection I discovered the slats differed in separation from our previous frame by about 1.5 inches between each slat. Who would have ever thought this would make such a profound difference? Oh, but it did!And that’s where this amazing product came in & literally transformed our lives. Once we received this product, which by the way proved extremely helpful in being preassembled since neither one of us was in a physical condition to “build” something, we were feeling better after two or three nights since the addition. It laid perfectly atop the existing frame without adding bulk or being visible despite the fact that our bed frame doesn’t feature recessed slats, rather they are absolutely flush with the sides so that the mattress basically sits right on top. There’s no shifting, or creaking. Actually there isn’t one negative thing I could relay about this mattress support. Like I said, this mattress support literally saved us! I’d like to think our dogs are happier, too! They get romp about without any off the previous nagging!

Very simple, easy to install support for mattress
We have a Queen mattress that is too high with a box spring support, so we got this Mayton support and it works great for support. We still used the wood slates on the bottom, though maybe not needed. We noticed a difference immediately. Recommend.
